Students in Grades 7 and 9 will be undertaking NAPLAN tests next week. Please ensure your daughter has a calculator that she can bring to School for the Numeracy test. Also this term, students will be assessed in all areas as teachers are preparing for the mid-year reporting schedule. Reports go home in the first week of Term Three. Students are encouraged to follow our commitment of being a learner and working hard to achieve their best in these reports. Term Two has started with a return to Winter and staff and students are adjusting to the cooler conditions. We have cosy, warm classrooms, but I appreciate that it can be very cold on the way to and from school, and also walking between buildings, such as from M to H Block. Students are expected to wear full School Uniform and, if necessary, we encourage students to wear garments such as a thermal top under their uniform. The School cardigans and jumpers are sufficiently warm for students when inside our buildings. Unfortunately, some of our students are wearing garments such as colourful hoodies over/ under their uniforms and this is not acceptable. Girls may wear a coat on the way to and from School, walking between buildings, and at break times if outside. School coats in maroon are available from the Uniform Shop. Black and maroon puffer jackets are suitable coats to wear to School. When inside, girls will be asked to remove their coats. Girls may also wear scarves that are in School colours of maroon, grey or white. Adhering to the Uniform Policy, as determined by our School Association, is another way that our students and families adhere to our commitments of being safe and showing respect.
