1. Children brainstorm what will happen in the future
Eachchildwritestheirideasonacardandsticksthemonthewhiteboardatthefrontoftheclass.Theclassdiscusseshowlookingatclimatechangeisinpartaboutexploringalternativefutures.
2. Children watch a clip from Back to the Future IIBacktotheFutureII(directedbyRobertZemeckis)madein1989imagineslifein2015.Movieclipshasuploadedaclipfromthefilmwhichisavailableatwww.youtube.com/watch?v=d68yRIe9OvQ

Children are given the Three Stages of Me Sheetandcompletethemiddlecolumn,labellingitas‘thisyear’.
Childrenimaginethemselvesfiveyearsagoandanswerthequestionsintheleft-handcolumnastheywouldhavedonethen,labellingthiscolumn‘5yearsago’.
