1) General Rules

1. Friendly fire counts as a hit. You are expected to identify your targets before firing your blaster and encouraged to get your own team uniforms.

2. Anti-Social behaviour will result in your removal from the tournament and

depending on the circumstance, you may not be invited back for any future games. Perth GBG is an open and inclusive club where members should not feel intimidated in any way, shape or form. This includes but is not limited to - Bullying and abusive behaviour - Aggressive/ anti-social behaviour - Arguing with others on the field - Refusal to accept a referees decision gracefully - Theft/ pilferage - Vandalism and littering (including cigarette buds incorrectly disposed) - Spitting in the premises - Wilful and blatant neglect of the rules

3. If you are having an issue with another player (Not calling hits or unacceptable

behaviour) • Seek a referee or an official • Do NOT argue with other players in the game • Avoid asking the other player to call their hits • Head referee has the final say.

4. Splatter hits do not count

• A splatter hit is when a gel ball disintegrates before hitting you, i.e on objects around you.

5. Blaster hits do not count.

6. The bang-bang rule does not apply however you are expected to be responsible with

your blaster and use due diligence when engaging other players especially at close range.

7. No Grenades will be allowed.

8. Magazines must be removed and blasters put on safe when leaving the field.

9. All hazards should be reported to the Management at the soonest possibility

2) Registration and Teams

1. A fee of 75 dollars is applicable for all participants

2. Fee must be paid in full by all members before the designated closing date – T.B.A

3. No members can be added into the teams after the closing date

4. A minimum of 5 players are required in order to form a team and a maximum of 10

players will be allowed to register per team.

5. Only 5 players are allowed on the field from each team during a game, the remainder will act as substitutes

6. You may only substitute a player after the end of a round. (Every game has 4 rounds)

7. A person will only be allowed to be a member of one team and cannot substitute in other teams.

8. Only registered members who have paid will be able to enjoy temporary

membership of CQB for the duration of the tournament.

9. Duration of temporary membership is defined as dates between the commencement on 30th of May 2020 and the Championship 20th of June 2020.

10. Prizes will only be awarded to paying participants. (e.g if you have 10 registered team members, all 10 will receive a prize should you win)

11. No refunds will be given to any team or team members who pull out of the

tournament, miss a game or get disqualified by referees.

3) Blaster Rules

1. For this event ONLY, all blasters must be 280 fps and below. Blasters will be

expected to pass a chronometer test and be marked by a referee before being allowed on the field.

2. A maximum of 3 magazines may be brought on to the field. 3. You may only reload from speed loaders after every match

4. Drum magazines are NOT allowed.

5. Models of blasters approved are (Contact an administrator if you think your

blaster should be allowed but is not listed here) - M4A1/ AR15 Variant - ARP9 - AK47/ 74/ AKM - HK416 - MP5/ 7 / X - P90 - UMP45 - Steyr Aug/ Tavor/ Bullpup - Scar L/ H - ACR

6. Only 1 blaster is allowed on a person at any time on the field. (No secondary

blaster or sidearms)

7. Only 2 blasters may be brought into the waiting room with a minimal amount of supporting gear to ensure that there is adequate table space for all participants.

8. All blasters must be concealed during transport, this includes travelling to and

from your vehicle at CQB. You may only take your blaster out of its case within the confines of CQB, away from public view at all times. No exceptions will be made.

4) Eye Protection and Staging Ground

1. Approved Eye protection must be worn at all times within the play area and

staging area. (Including when eating, using the bathroom and resting)

2. Eye protection must cover both the front and the sides of your eyes.

3. Eye protection can only be removed in areas covered by Shade cloth and Plastic Protective Sheets.

4. If eye protection must be taken off for a medical or safety reason, you are to:

- YELL – “Blind Man, Cease Fire, Cease Fire, Cease Fire” - Keep yelling until all players echo this and the game is paused. - Only remove eye protection when cease fire us called.

5. All magazines must be out of blasters and the blaster put on “safe” within the

staging ground.

6. There will be no firing/ dry firing of blasters within the staging ground.

7. Bear in mind that the staging ground will be crowded due to the number of participants, you are expected to practice social grace and common sense when using these areas, avoid bringing excessive amounts of gear.

8. Do not expose your blaster to the public, keep it out of public view at all times. If

your designated team rest area is out of the building, stay within the shade cloth boundaries

5) Competition Rules

1. Points will be awarded as follows (Team death match and domination)

- Winning a round = 3 points to winning team - Draw at a round = 2 points to both teams - Losing a round = 1 point to losing team - Absence from round – No points awarded

2. Every round will have 4 matches, all matches will be 5 minutes long. Teams will

switch sides after every match.

3. There will only be two modes of game play during qualifiers - Team Deathmatch / Elimination - Capture the Flag

4. Should a player’s blaster break down or a substitute is called in, that player is given 1

minute to join his team in the field. Joining can only take place between matches.

5. If you are hit, raise your hand and shout “Hit” as loud as possible to avoid getting shot further, proceed to your spawn using the shortest route available.

6. You are to remain quiet and not give away the opposing teams position unless it is a

respawn match, provided you have gone back to spawn and are back in the game.

7. No jumping over or climbing on any or the barriers and structures on the field. Avoid hard contact with them as they are not secured.

8. If a player is caught cheating through not calling their hits, that player and the player on the same team closest to him will be taken out for that match.

9. Dead men don’t talk, if this rule is breached, the players that have benefitted from this information will be taken out of the match.

10. Blind Firing is allowed.

11. Teams must either wear matching team outfits or wear the coloured bands (used on Sunday games) which are available for purchase at HQ or CQB front desk. This helps with target identification.

6) Gameplay

1. Team Deathmatch / Elimination

- Match lasts for 5 minutes - To secure a victory, all members of the opposing team must be taken out

within the time limit - If time runs out and there are still players on both sides, both teams will

receive 2 points for a draw. - 3 points will be awarded to the victor - 1 point will be awarded to the losing team

2. Capture the flag

- Match lasts for 5 minutes - To secure a victory, the flag placed on the spawn barrier of the opposing

team must be captured and brought back to base - You do not need to eliminate all members of the opposing team to secure a

victory. - If time runs out and there are still members of any teams on the field but the

flags have not been captured. 2 points will be awarded to both teams for a draw.

- If you are shot whilst carrying the flag, you must drop it on the spot. - 3 points will be awarded to the victor - 1 point will be awarded to the losing team

7) Loadout Restrictions

1. No Plate carriers or chest rigs may be worn (see examples below)

2. Battle Belts are allowed.

3. No baggy clothing (e.g paintball shirts/ pants)

4. Only 3 standard magazines will be allowed on your person during a game (No high capacity or drum magazines), this is to encourage aimed shots as opposed to suppressive fire.

5. A speed loader may be carried on to the field but you will be only allowed to use it when at spawn.

6. Facial protection (e.g. masks, big goggles) are allowed

7. “Camelbaks”/ hydration bladders and backpacks are not allowed to be carried on the field.

8. Helmets are allowed.

9. Headsets and radios for communication are allowed

10. Covered shoes must be worn at all times.
