The serial numbers on bows built from 1982 - 1985 contained no letters, numbers only.The serial number on bows built fromJune 1986 - March of 1987 start with an "A".

Bows built from 1987 to the present: The first letter in serial number designates the MODEL

H5=H500 (1982-1989)H2=H250 (1984-1989)S=Screaming Eagle (1987-1989)K= Strike Eagle (1990-1992)

The serial number on bows built after 1987 contain a letter that designates the YEAR thebow was built. This letter is in the third position of the number.
