Post go-live support
• CP-IS implementation managers run check point calls with sites for 8 weeks post go-live.
After which -
• Supplier Help Desk – 1st line of support
• Escalation of unresolved issues to the NHS Digital National Service Desk
• Some localities may have Local Service Desk arrangements in place
• If you feel support processes have failed, e-mail the CP-IS mailbox [email protected]
5
Issues post go-live
• Issues experienced post go-live
– Was the resolution dealt with by your supplier adequately
Did you know how to escalate the issue if not?
What would have helped you to have a better experience?
• Do you know how to deal with error messages and do you report them?
• Any reoccurring errors which you encounter?
• What needs to improve?
• Risks involved in not having a robust functioning CP-IS system
6
Tips for post go-live – local authorities
• Verify that your NHS number matching process will maintain high levels
of NHS numbers matched to mitigate risk
• Check that daily uploads are running as scheduled at least once every
24 hours
• Check that access notifications are being pulled in and distributed to
social care staff daily
• Validate that new CP-IS business processes are fully supporting
safeguarding processes
• Keep an eye on other local partners going live - this information can be
found on the website – www.digital.nhs.uk/cpis
• Ensure that information governance standards are maintained
• Identify case studies to reinforce benefits
7
Tips for post go-live – NHS settings
• IT teams verify that access notification alerts are being sent
• Ensure that clinical staff are viewing the flag to see the last 25 history to access notification alerts against the child
• Smart Cards – ensure that all people who require access to CP-IS information have B0107 on their cards including midwives
• Validate that new business process to accommodate CP-IS are fully supporting safeguarding processes
• Keep an eye on other local partners going live - this information can be found on the website – www.digital.nhs.uk/cpis
• Ensure that privacy statements are updated to include CP-IS
• Identify case studies to reinforce benefits
8
False access notification alerts
• Remember CP-IS should be used by clinical staff who
are seeing the child at presentation, not for
administrative checking purposes – false access
notification alerts can build a misleading view in the
access history notifications and create unnecessary
work for the social care teams
9
Discussion
• Split into groups to discuss topics and share best
practice
10
Future requirements
• Completing national roll out whilst looking to the future
• Future requirements:
– Improvements in current functionality
– Expansion of scope:
Other vulnerable children
Other healthcare settings
Other agencies/settings
• How you can input:
– User groups – express your interest
– Feed your views to us at [email protected]
