To stop the chain of transmission of virus and reduce the number of positive cases various steps have been initiated. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in A&N Islands, the testing has been augmented manifold and as on date, 413316 samples have been tested in A&N Islands. Further, the Islands Test Per Million (TPM) stands at 1033290. Apart from this, the District Administration is also conducting mobile RAT testing in rural areas of the District. The incoming flight passengers are also being retested with RTPCR. The District Control Room regularly monitors patients who are placed under home isolation by keeping track on the person's health status besides providing the required medicine. It is also reaching out to the rural populace through mobile RAT testing van. As per health data, the new active case in the last 24 hours has come down to 4 while the total number of active cases during the 2 nd wave (since 01.03.2021) has also come down to 21 in the entire Islands. New Delhi, July 4 (PIB) Marking a significant step towards worldwide visibility for Ayurveda based clinical trials, the Ayurveda dataset on CTRI Portal will be launched online tomorrow by Ayush Minister, Shri Kiren Rijiju. This Ayurveda Dataset of CTRI has been jointly developed by ICMR and CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush. The Minister will also launch four more Portals, all developed by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS). CTRI is a primary register of Clinical Trials under WHO's International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP) and creation of Ayurveda dataset in CTRI facilitates usages of Ayurveda terminologies to record clinical study meta data based on Ayurveda interventions. Until now the clinical trials in Ayurveda were dependent on terminology borrowed from modern medicine. Now with the joint efforts of ICMR- National Institute of Medical Statistics and CCRAS, Ayurvedic terminology has become part of CTRI. He said during the RTPCR test conducted on 316 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no case has been detected. Similarly, no cases were detected from test conducted on 89 persons bound for Middle & North Andaman at Ferrargunj. The mobile testing team conducted test on 102 persons at Nayasahar and it is encouraging to note that all were found negative. Today, 3 flight with 522 passengers arrived and their RTPCR reports are awaited. B Pant Hospital, the Secretary said, the number of patients undergoing treatment has come down to 3 and all the three are on Oxygen support. As on July 3, 2021, 1,85,734 persons have been inoculated with Covishield Vaccine doses in Isles. First dose have been given to 1,57,972 beneficiaries covering 56.10 percent of the target population i.e.2, 81,603 (Approx.). The second dose has been given to 27,762 beneficiaries, the percentage of which stands at 17.57%. He said, 39.49% population have been vaccinated with first dose of Covishield till yesterday, out of the total population of 4,00,000. The number of eligible persons who have been inoculated with first dose in the age group of 45 plus is 1,04,598, out of the 1,04603 target beneficiaries. He said that the number of target population in the age group of 18-44 to be vaccinated is around 1,77,000. So far, 53,374 beneficiaries in this age group have been vaccinated with first dose till July 3. To track the disease in rural areas, the District Administration, is making the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)- a pillar to track COVID in rural areas thereby making testing easier, faster and accessible to people. More than 100 random RAT tests are Tracking COVID in rural areas through RAT Random test conducted on 102 persons at Nayasahar shows encouraging result; all samples found negative being conducted in rural areas on a daily basis. As part of this, the District Administration conducted mobile RAT screening at Nayasahar today. In view of this, theWorld Health Organization made it mandatory tocreate an online registry of clinical trials. In Indiathis work is being done through CTRI and thisregistry is also part of the World HealthOrganization registry. The four more portals that will also be launchedtomorrow are AMAR, SAHI, e-MEDHA and RMIS.All of these are primarily developed by CCRASwhile RMIS is a collaborative effort of ICMR andCCRAS.
