Malathalli Bengaluru Three-Day National Workshop on 24-26 November, 2017 The workshop will broadly cover steps in formulating research questions, literature review using NVivo and End Note, field work techniques and questionnaire preparation, analysis of data with hands-on- training including factor analysis and applied regression analysis, use of Excel, SPSS, R- software, writing research publications and dissertations. The focus will be on conceptual clarity and developing a degree of familiarity with the techniques so that the participants can apply them to practical cases. At the end of the workshop, the participants are expected to be familiar with a range of quantitative techniques available for research and policy analysis. Contents of the Programme: Research Process, Objectivity and Ethics in Research Literature Review using NVivo and End Note Sample Design and Sampling Techniques Data Collection Techniques and Questionnaire Preparation Quantitative Techniques and Data Analysis with hands-on- training – Mean Difference, ANOVA test, Chi-Square test, Factor Analysis and Applied Regression Analysis Introduction to Excel, SPSS, R- software and hands-on training Research Implications/Drafting Report & Journal Pap Note: Carrying Personal Laptop and Accessories are compulsory for the Workshop. Subsequently another workshop on Applied Econometrics will be conducted. A discount of 20% on registration fee would be considered for the participants of this workshop. Course Fee and Mode of Payment Rs. 5000/- per participant including certificates, materials (soft copy), working lunch and refreshments, service tax. On-Campus accommodation may be provided based on availability and additional payment.
