The new Classic Works Facility is the largest of its kind in the world, consolidating all JLR’s Classic operations under one roof. The building includes 54 individual workshop bays and strip down areas, a dedicated engine shop and space for 480 vehicles. The facility also has a showroom for historic cars from the company’s Classic collection, where customers can view and buy Jaguar and Land Rover Classic vehicles restored through programmes such as Land Rover ‘Reborn’.

Prologis Park Ryton provided the perfect location for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to base their operations and take nearly 700,000 sq ft of space. Prologis Park Ryton is at the heart of the UK’s automotive cluster and deep in automotive history, and located nearby to existing facilities, such as Brown’s Lane in Coventry, Whitley, Gaydon and Castle Bromwich.

In 2014, JLR launched its Special Operations division and needed a building close to its existing sites for a new Special Vehicles Operations (SVO) Technical Centre. We were completing a 226,000 square foot speculative unit at Prologis Park Ryton and this proved to be the perfect fi t. The centre is now the company’s global hub for the creation of high end luxury bespoke commissions and high performance vehicles, such as the Range Rover Autobiography Black, Range Rover Sport SVR and the Jaguar Project 7. Following a £20 million fi t-out, which includes a VIP commissioning suite and workshops inspired by Formula 1 manufacturing facilities, the special operations centre opened in early 2017.

JLR decided to take two further buildings at Ryton. The larger of the two buildings, at 327,730 sq ft is now part of JLR’s growing manufacturing operation, while the 141,225 sq ft building, which is at the front of the site, is the new headquarters for Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works Facility.

The new Classic Works Facility is the largest of its kind in the world, consolidating all JLR’s Classic operations under one roof. The building includes 54 individual workshop bays and strip down areas, a dedicated engine shop and space for 480 vehicles. The facility also has a showroom for historic cars from the company’s Classic collection, where customers can view and buy Jaguar and Land Rover Classic vehicles restored through programmes such as Land Rover ‘Reborn’.

Prologis Park Ryton provided the perfect location for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to base their operations and take nearly 700,000 sq ft of space. Prologis Park Ryton is at the heart of the UK’s automotive cluster and deep in automotive history, and located nearby to existing facilities, such as Brown’s Lane in Coventry, Whitley, Gaydon and Castle Bromwich.

In 2014, JLR launched its Special Operations division and needed a building close to its existing sites for a new Special Vehicles Operations (SVO) Technical Centre. We were completing a 226,000 square foot speculative unit at Prologis Park Ryton and this proved to be the perfect fi t. The centre is now the company’s global hub for the creation of high end luxury bespoke commissions and high performance vehicles, such as the Range Rover Autobiography Black, Range Rover Sport SVR and the Jaguar Project 7. Following a £20 million fi t-out, which includes a VIP commissioning suite and workshops inspired by Formula 1 manufacturing facilities, the special operations centre opened in early 2017.

JLR decided to take two further buildings at Ryton. The larger of the two buildings, at 327,730 sq ft is now part of JLR’s growing manufacturing operation, while the 141,225 sq ft building, which is at the front of the site, is the new headquarters for Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works Facility.
