JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL COURSE DESCRIPTION

The TECHNOLOGY AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION (TLE) program in the K 12 curriculum of the Department of Education puts emphasis on the growing need to provide quality training to our Junior High School students. The course provides our students with the appropriate knowledge and hands-on skills and imbibe the values of work thru classroom learning and experiences that are realistic, authentic, and performance-based. Making entrepreneurship a part of the different components in TLE subjects will help students realize that they are being trained to become producers rather than just simple consumers. These together with their exposure in real world thru activities and projects equip students with the competencies that would make them locally and globally competitive.

LABORATORY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COURSE DESCRIPTION

The HOME ECONOMICS AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION (HELE) program in the K 12 curriculum of the Department of Education puts emphasis on the realization of the learning standards that every Grade 4,5 and 6 pupils is expected to demonstrate. These learning standards involve the acquisition of basic knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes in the four areas of study namely: ICT and Entrepreneurship, Agricultural Arts, Home Economics, and Industrial Arts- all of which are aimed toward improving the self, the family, and the community.

TLE 10 -VISUAL BASIC

The learning area is designed to create an application using the components provided by the Visual Basic program itself. Over time the communities of programmers have developed new third-party components, keeping this programming language to modern standards. Programs written in Visual Basic can also use the Windows API, which requires external function declarations. Like the BASIC programming language, Visual Basic was designed to accommodate a steep learning curve. Programmers can create both simple and complex GUI applications. Programming in VB is a combination of visually arranging components or controls on a form, specifying attributes and actions for those components, and writing additional lines of code for more functionality.
