Letter of Recommendation for Elizabeth Park

To Whom it May Concern:

I have worked with Elizabeth Park since 2012. Elizabeth had a critical role in the

HealthLink electronic medical record (EMR) project at the Santa Clara Valley

Medical Center (SCVMC), the rollout of the Information Technology Transformation

Initiative (ITTI), and the development of supporting materials for the County

Executive's strategic vision.

In her capacity as a Communications Specialist, Elizabeth created or helped to

launch 7 County web sites, project-managed 2 major rollouts and 3 minor ones,

and constantly took the initiative to move things forward, often going outside her

defined role.

Elizabeth created the brand, marketing templates, slogans, and one-stop websites

that brought these projects to focus, and communicated critical messages and

project details that increased countywide awareness and acceptance of 2 multi­

million dollar technology applications and a Countywide strategic message on behalf

of the County Executive.

The materials that Elizabeth developed, both in tangible and electronic form were

very accessible and created clarity during the implementation of a large project that

had a lot of initial resistance. In particular, a video of employees telling about how

the new EMR would benefit patients and users was very popular at SCVMC, and

contributed to acceptance of the project.

Elizabeth works well with all levels of executive and management employees to

successfully address unexpected issues and unique demands, even on tight

timeframes. Her focus on positive story telling has contributed to making large

projects come alive for those with less direct experience with individual initiatives.

Elizabeth is easy to work with, creative, and helpful. I would recommend her

work to anyone.
