Swim only in designated beach areas during posted hours. No lifeguards are on duty, swim at your own risk. 3. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all beach areas. 4. Camp only in designated camping areas. 5. Pets must be on a leash, are not allowed at swimming beaches, and owners must clean up after their pets. 6. Fires are permitted only in grills, or designated areas. 7. Fireworks are prohibited. 8. It is unlawful to kill, trap, hunt, pursue, or disturb any bird or animal, except fish, on park grounds. 9. Solicitation is not allowed. 10. It is unlawful to litter or dump in any park area. A complete list of rules is available at the Park Offices. The parks feature grass areas with plenty of shade trees and wooded sections. There are also small dog areas only for dogs under 25 pounds. PRAIRIE VIEW DOG PARK FEATURES Total of seven acres of fenced, off-leash park - Three acre grass enclosed area - Three acre wooded enclosed area with walking trail - One acre small dog area (under 25 lbs) Drinking water available Restrooms Dog waste bags Plenty of shade & benches Open year-round 7:00 a.m. to sunset PARK FEES Daily Entrance Per Vehicle $ 5 Annual Pass $25 Sr. Pass (62+) $20 Rev 2/16 Dog Park Rules 1. The owner, defined as any individual who brings a dog to the Dog Park or has a dog in their care, is personally and legally responsible for that dog at all times while using the Dog Park. 2. Use of the Dog Park is at your own risk. Kalamazoo County and Kalamazoo County Parks are not liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog. Owners are legally responsible for any injuries caused by their dogs or dogs in their care. 3. In case of emergency, dial 911. 4. Report dog bites to Kalamazoo County Animal Services and Enforcement at (269) 383-8775. 5. Your dog must be within your sight and under your control at all times. Owners must prevent their dogs from fighting, biting, and excessive barking. Have your leash on hand at all times when inside the enclosure. 6. Owners of dogs and/or dogs showing aggressive behavior will be asked to leave the Dog Park and future use may be prohibited. 7. Children under 8 years old are prohibited inside the enclosure. 8. Only 2 dogs per owner allowed. 9. Dogs under 4 months old are prohibited. 10. All dogs must have valid license and current vaccinations. Dogs must wear a collar with the County license tag and owner identification. 11. Only basic, flat buckle collars are allowed inside the enclosure. 12. All users of the Dog Parks must purchase a Kalamazoo County Park Daily or Annual Pass. 13. Digging is not allowed. The owner is responsible for filling holes their dog digs. 14. Your dogs must be leashed when outside the enclosure. Leash and control your dog prior to exiting your vehicle. Your dog must be leashed when entering and exiting the Dog Park. 15. Owners must pick up dog waste with provided bags and dispose of in trash receptacles. 16. Smoking, eating, food, dog food, dog treats, rawhides, and glass containers are prohibited inside the enclosure. 17. Dogs must be accompanied by an owner age 16 or older at all times. 18. Dogs in heat or displaying symptoms of illness are prohibited. 19. Dog Park hours are 7:00 a.m. to sunset, year round. 20. Solicitation, peddling, advertising, or commercial business activity is not allowed without prior approval. 21. Failure to follow County Park and Dog Park rules may result in eviction and/or prosecution. Please remember to close all gates behind you! Dog Park Rules
