issue of Electors Photo Identity cards through NSS.

Sir/Madam,

As per the discussions held with Dr. Mona Sharma, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer

& Ex-Officio, Commissioner-Cum-Secretary to Government, Odisha and

Dr. U. N. Sahu, OES, S.L.O-Cum-Dy.Secy.to Govt., Department of Higher

Education, Odisha on 05.11.2012 on the above cited subject and subsequent

letter No.7973 dt.05.11.12, I am directed to say, the process of Electoral Roll,

2013 with reference to 01.01.2013 as the qualifying date for all the 147

Assembly Constituencies of the state of Odisha is now going on by the Election

Commission of India. Applicants born on or before 01.01.95 may apply for

inclusion of their name in electoral roll and issue of Electors photos identity

card.

There may be a good number of students in your institution and some students

or non-students in adopted villages/slums who have born on or before 01.01.95

for inclusion in the electoral roll.

I would therefore request you to kindly mobilize your efficient NSS unit to

identify such citizens and advise them to apply for the same in duly filled in

form No.6 along with recent passport size coloured photographs, documentary

proof of age and place of residence in concerned polling station. For further

assistance in the matter toll free number 1950 can be used. However, for

requisite from No.6, relevant guidelines, assistance of Booth Level Officer

(BLO)/ B.D.O, Sub-Collector /may be contacted.

Last date of enrolment for electoral roll is 20th

Any expenditure to be incurred to make this objective successful can be met out

of the regular grants of NSS.

The follow-up action taken by the P.O.NSS may be intimated to the

undersigned on or before 27.11.12.
