Cougars ROAR!
SUPERINDENTENT’S CORNER
Greetings!
This past month we were honored to be visited by Assistant Commissioner of Education, Daryl Minus-Vincent. Our school was selected for the visit by our County Superinten-dent distinguishing us as a top school in the County and the State. I am happy to report that he was thrilled with every-thing he saw during the visit giving us “high marks” in all categories.
On another note, our new boilers are up and running, re-placing the previous boilers that were over 50 years old. Our system is now more efficient and the students should be warm and toasty all winter!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have a great deal to be thankful for.
Sincerely,
Edward Stoloski
Superintendent
PRINCIPAL’S NEWS
Dear Parents, For the 40
th year, our physical edu-
cation classes ran both the full and half mile races in our Discover Running Event. To sustain 40 years is an incredible achievement that has allowed thousands of students to be introduced to running and a healthy lifestyle. Thank you to our dedicated PE staff for continuing this tradition of excel-lence that this year had over 200 students participating. Our next Character Education Program will be the annual Cougar Share Service Project. This project will begin on November 20
th and run through December 6
th. Once
again, we will be asking our school community to donate to less fortunate children. An information letter will be coming home soon. This character building and empathetic pro-ject is a labor of love and we hope you will continue to sup-
port it. This activity will cer-tainly make the holidays a bit brighter for several children and their families.
Sincerely,
John Capuano
Principal
