The northern side is occupied by the State Historical Museum. other important places are the Peterhof Palace and the hermitage museum.  Los lugares históricos más importantes en Rusia son: la Plaza Roja de Moscú, los edificios que rodean la plaza son: el sur está la Catedral de San Basilio  En la zona oriental está la tienda por departamentos GUM, y junto a ella la restaurada Catedral de Kazán. El lado norte está ocupado por el Museo Estado Histórico. otros lugares importantes son el palacio de peterhof y el museo de rusia.
