The  Cosasco®  Re‐Facer  Tool  provides  an  economical alternative  to  replacing  corroded  or  damaged  Access Fittings.  In  certain  aggressive  environments  the  sealing face  of  an  access  fitting  can  become  corroded without proper maintenance. A corroded sealing face can prevent the  service  valve  from  creating  a  seal with  the  access fitting which can  result  in  leakage when service valve  is used.  The  Re‐Facer  Tool  allows  the  user  to  reface  the 

sealing face of an access fitting to remove any anomalies and restores the sealing face. The Re‐Facer tool works by rotating the upper ring of the base assembly around the access fitting. A threaded star wheel mechanism  advances  the  cutting  tool  across  the access  fitting  face as  the  ring  rotates. A mechanical  trip turns  the  star wheel one notch on each  rotation which moves the tool holder forward along the track.
