In last weeks bulletin I wrote a let-ter announcing an exciting effort to reach out to and invite our neighbors to a special celebration of the Mass on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 8:45 AM. In the bulletin, I men-tioned that you will be receiving a letter in the mail this week inviting
you to join us at Mass on December 10. Those who attend Mass weekly do not need this invitation, but many others may really benefit by it.
When you receive this letter may I ask you to share it with a family member or friend who does not at-tend Mass. We can only reach those whose address-es we have. You can help us by reaching out to oth-ers.
December 10 is the Second Sunday of Advent. At Mass we will hear of John the Baptist and his mis-sion of preparing the way of the Lord. We can all be like John the Baptist helping others to prepare for the feast of Christmas by pointing out the presence of the Lord in our midst.
May God bless you and your family during this up-coming Advent Season and together may we bring Christ to others as we invite them to celebrate our faith in Christ with us.

En el boletín de las últi-mas semanas, escribí una carta anunciando un emocionante esfuerzo para acercar e invitar a nuestros vecinos a una
celebración especial de la Misa el domingo, 10 de diciembre a las 11:00AM. También mencioné que recibirán una carta en el correo esta semana invi-tando a todos a unirse a nosotros en la misa del 10 de diciembre. Aquellos que asistan a misa sema-nalmente no necesitan esta invitación, pero muchos otros pueden beneficiarse realmente de ella.
Cuando reciba esta carta, les pido que la comparta con un miembro de la familia o amigo que no asis-te a la Misa. Solamente podemos comunicarnos con aquellos cuyas direcciones tenemos. Ustedes pueden ayudarnos acercándonos a otros.
El 10 de diciembre es el segundo domingo de Ad-viento. En la misa escucharemos sobre Juan el Bautista y su misión de preparar el camino del Se-ñor. Todos podemos ser como Juan Bautista ayu-dando a otros a prepararse para la fiesta de Navi-dad señalando la presencia del Señor en medio de nosotros.
Que Dios los bendiga a ustedes y a su familia du-rante esta próxima temporada de Adviento y juntos podamos llevar a Cristo a otros cuando los invite-mos a celebrar nuestra fe en Cristo con nosotros.

FOOD PANTRY The Pantry was able to provide food to 100 families for Thanks-
giving. Thank you for helping them enjoy a nutritious meal. The Giving Tree for our cli-ent’s children is up. Please take a tag and place your UNWRAPED gift under the tree. Deadline for all gifts is Sunday, December 17th. Toys will be distributed to all registered clients with children on Wednesday, December 20th.
CALLING ALL TEENAGERS
Our Youth Ministry will resume meetings on Thursday evenings from 7: PM to 8:30 PM in the rectory basement. All of the young people of the parish are encouraged to at-tend. For more information call Fr. West at the rectory

Xavier Society for the Blind provides inspirational, spiritual and religious reading materials in braille, audio and/or large print to the blind and visually impaired community of faithful free of charge, in-cluding: Monthly readings, prayers and responses for
the Sunday Mass and selected Feast Days and Solemnities.

Fr. John O’Neil Celebrates 40 Years of Service to Corpus Christi
Next Sunday, December 3rd is the 40th anniversary of Fr. John’s ordination to the di-aconate and marks his 40th anniversary of service to our parish. After serving the par-ish for 22 years as a Deacon, Fr. John was ordained a priest and has devoted him-
self to providing for the spiritual needs of the people of Corpus Christi. His contributions are too many to enumerate but his presence and min-istry here is very much appreciated.
To celebrate and give thanks to God for his 40 years of service to our parish Fr. John will be cel-ebrating the 12:30 PM Mass next Sunday.

CHRIST, KING OF ALL On this, the final Sunday of the liturgical year, we celebrate the solemnity of Christ the King. By concluding the year with this feast we are proclaiming our
faith that Jesus Christ is the one and only king over all seasons, all peoples, and all of creation. At the end of time as we know it, Christ's work of restoring all things to unity and harmony with their Creator God will be completed. This Sun-day, when we claim Christ as both our Shepherd and our King, we recognize our own calling to participate in Christ's saving work by caring for those whom Jesus calls "the least ones" (Mt 25:45).
