Our Design Team of Hospitality Technology Consultants work closely with Architects, Interior Designers, MEP Consultants and Hotel Owners to fully address the ELV technical requirements of the Project. These Project requirements include Audio Visual Systems for Hotel Rooms, Suites and Apartments, Wired and Wireless Network Systems for Staff and Guest needs and Security Systems for the CCTV and Access Control within the Hotel. All of which require a Structured Cabling System in order to support them.

Our Hospitality Technology Consultants Design Team work closely with Architects, Interior Designers, MEP Consultants and Hotel Owners to fully address the ELV technical requirements of the Project. These services vary per project and can be developed to suit the Client’s needs, assisting in various pre-arranged design phases such as:
Concept and Schematic We will establish our Client’s requirements from information provided to us and through initial
discussions – we will then provide a Concept & Schematic Design document detailing our proposed solution for review by the Client.
Design Development We will typically provide drawings for fl oor layouts, details, schematics and elevations then through
meetings with the wider Design Team fi nalise a detailed design set of drawings.
Tender DocumentationWe will issue the fi nalised detailed design drawings along with a Bill of Quantities and System
Specifi cations. Then we assist throughout the Tender process.
Construction Project ManagementDuring the Construction Phase we are able to assist with the overseeing of site work and the fi nal test
and commissioning process often project managing the sub-Contractors throughout the process.
If requested, during the Contract Administration phase we can monitor every aspect of the technical installation process through to commissioning, reviewing Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical systems to ensure that every aspect of the area supports the functional requirements or operation; to do this Spartan Comms Team have many different skills; working as a team we complete all stages of the design process for projects to the highest quality, to provide the best service possible.

Spartan Comms Ltd provide an experienced full scope Consultancy service for Hospitality Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.
ELV Systems consists of several major components:
The Passive Communications Cabling Infrastructure which is the ELV cable plant. This supports all of the services and applications that comprise of the ELV systems.
The Active Wired and Wireless Network which is supported on the passive ELV, Communications Cabling Infrastructure which then supports the individual ELV applications.

The Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Communications Cabling Infrastructure provides the arterial routes for the Hotels Communications System. Spartan Comms use their years of experience within the Hotel Industry to design the ELV Communication Cable Infrastructure required for each individual project. This can comprise of a combination of Fibre Optic Backbone Single Mode & Multi Mode, Category 6 and Category 6A Horizontal Cabling. This combined with their knowledge on the latest ratifi ed standards and ever changing technology provide an all encompassing and technically sound solution in this important and critical area of the project.

As the technology of Voice, Data and Video services continue to move forward in leaps and bounds, the Local Area Network, either Converged or Individual, is now the heart that pumps the services through the arterial cable infrastructure delivering the required services within the Hotel to both Guests and Staff. The right combination of all of these applications means that the Hotel provides ‘state of the art’ services and enhanced Guest experience, along with maximum effi ciency in operations to the Hotel Staff.
With knowledge and signifi cant experience in the Network within the Hospitality Industry, Spartan Comms provide specialist Hotel Network Systems Consultancy Services. The scope of the Network Systems Services include the design of both the Wired and Wireless LAN along with the Design of the IP Telephone System (IPPBX) including Voicemail, ACD Systems and Call Accounting, combined with the IP Television System (IPTV) and Video on Demand System (VOD). The combination of these services into a single package allows Spartan Comms to provide a service to our Client that fi ts their requirements today along with the foresight within our design to allow for fl exibility and future growth.

Guest Room Management Systems
Many of the 5* Hotel Operators and Developers are now including Integrated Guest Room Management Systems, within Suites and also Standard Guest Rooms.
The Guest Room Management System is an interactive Guest Room Automation and Energy Management System. It can control many functions within the Guest Room, these can be chosen individually to provide a bespoke management system.
A sample of items which the management system can control are:• HVAC (Room Temperature and Fan Speed)• Room Lighting including Dimming & Scene Setting• Drapery & Blind Control• Do Not Disturb• Make Up Room• Integrated Door Chime
The Control can be carried out from many different devices within the room and dependent upon the level of integration can also be controlled from the Television, the IP telephone set, an in room Tablet or the more traditional desk top control unit. Spartan Comms have specialist Consultants that will work with the MEP and Lighting Consultants to advise on Control and Interfacing requirements along with providing Design, Specifi cation and Installation of these individual systems.

Audio Visual Systems within the Hospitality environment today now cover all areas within the Hotel and Resort rather than just the more traditional Public Areas, Ballrooms and Meeting Rooms. In doing so, it now encompasses many more applications than it has done in the past.
The Audio Visual Consultants responsibility now extends to the following:
• Audio Visual Systems for Public Spaces, Ballrooms, Pre Function Areas, Meeting Rooms and Conference Facilities • AVS for Guest Rooms and Suites• Enhanced Background Music Systems• Digital Signage Systems
Audio Visual Systems were historically stand-alone systems in their design but there are benefi ts to them becoming fully integrated with the Hotel IP Wired and Wireless Network. This allows for the sharing of Backbone Infrastructure and also the Active Network Equipment which can signifi cantly assist with non-duplication of Active and Passive Infrastructure combined with reducing costs for the systems.

We integrate AV Systems Control with that of other related Technical Systems. Control links can also be integrated within other Communication Systems or be confi gured as stand-alone systems.

Spartan Comms Security Systems Consultancy service is aimed at providing an integrated, proactive and reactive combination of components that when combined with the operational procedures of the Hotel Operator will sustain full Security coverage for the Property and Guests to a level commensurate with the recommendations and information made available for each individual project.
Security Systems are now predominantly IP based in their functionality and design, and are now fully integrated with the Communications Cabling Infrastructure and moreover the Active Network Systems equipment of the Hotel.
