Founded in 1961, A. & H. Meyer is a leading manufacturer in customizable cable management systems for furniture with production sites in Germany, Malaysia and Brazil. The company’s products are compatible with an assortment of data and telephone outlets.

A. & H. Meyer takes great pride in ensuring our R&D and design teams stay attuned to the newest technologies and requirements taking place in today’s rapidly evolving furniture industry. The company features a partially automatic assembly facility and departments for product development, offers highly automated injection molding, as well as stamping and in-house tooling. We are, hence, able to provide innovative cable management products while emphasizing on the safety and quality of our products.

In addition, our products are designed to embody a clean, modern aesthetic and a smooth, sleek profile to reflect contemporary office furniture trends.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. We have created this company profile to give you an overview of our company and the products we offer. Founded in 1961 by August Meyer as a supplier of components for the local furniture industry in Germany, A. & H. Meyer has grown to become a leading manufacturer of cable management systems for office furniture, and has been helmed by Horst Meyer since 1986. The Malaysian subsidiary was established in 2000 and became A. & H. Meyer’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in 2007. In line with the company’s succession planning efforts, Lutz Hosang was appointed in October 2012 as a member of the Executive Board of A. & H. Meyer, tasked with overseeing the entire operational business of the company as Chief Executive Officer.

Today, A. & H. Meyer enjoys a global presence with production facilities in Germany, Malaysia and Brazil and have established distribution partnerships in six countries in Asia alone. A WORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN

When my father first founded the company in 1961, he was mainly interested in having the freedom to make products that he had invented. These products, such as knobs and hinges made from plastic and steel, were earmarked for the local furniture industry.

Interestingly, at that time he was not even thinking of growing the business in Germany, much less going global. However, thanks to his commitment towards innovation and quality, his clients saw to it that he expanded his business.

When I first joined A. & H. Meyer in 1982, my prime task was to spearhead efforts into making the company an international player and to eventually take over the reins of the business. It was at this time we began producing task lights for the kitchen and cable management systems for the office furniture industry.

Today we produce a wide range of high-quality cable management products for furniture as well as for shop fittings and hotel rooms. Best Wishes,

The company has come a long way from its humble beginnings. We have ventured into new markets by establishing partnerships with distributors in Europe and in other parts of the world. In the year 2000 we set up our subsidiary in Malaysia, and Brazil in 2014. We also operate a sales office in Belgium.

Thanks to our extensive network our products are now available in virtually every corner of the world, with all our production sites using the same manufacturing processes and quality control methods.

The First PatentAn all-important patent for the first plastic ball caster was applied for. Today, the plastic ball caster remains a prominent part of our logo.

Changes to Reflect Our Growth & Leadership SuccessionHorst Meyer was appointed as Managing Director of the company, and our legal form and name were changed to mark the growth of a small entity into a medium-sized enterprise, A. & H. Meyer GmbH and transition to second-generation leadership.

ISO CertificationAs a result of our international orientation and obligations toward our business partners, A. & H. Meyer GmbH was ISO certified.

How It All StartedAugust Meyer, a trained toolmaker and electrician, founded a small company in Dörentrup-Humfeld, Germany, that delivered small plastic parts and metal fasteners to the regional furniture industry.

Product Range ExtensionOur product range was extended to include kitchen lights as well as NETBOXES for furniture. Apart from a face-lift, the production remains unchanged.

The First Major RelocationA. & H. Meyer GmbH moved into our new headquarters while maintaining our original place of business in Dörentrup-Humfeld, Germany.

Extension to AsiaOur subsidiary, A. & H. Meyer Sdn. Bhd., was founded in Malaysia in order to meet the growing needs of the Asia-Pacific market.

Breaking New GroundA. & H. Meyer Sdn. Bhd.’s 10th anniversary in Malaysia was an eventful one, with newly designed product lines and a modernized homepage to better reflect A. & H. Meyer’s commitment to the future.

A New Addition to the Executive BoardLutz Hosang joined the Executive Board of A. & H. Meyer as Chief Executive Officer. The Executive Board now consists of Horst Meyer, Peter Lenhardt, Managing Director of A. & H. Meyer Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, and Lutz Hosang.

50th Anniversary 2011 marked A. & H. Meyer’s 50th year of operations when we celebrated our Golden anniversary with our clients, suppliers, employees and long-time friends, who have supported us over the years. It was also the year we were awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for the NETBOX Point.

A Branch in BrazilBuoyed by rising demand in Latin America, A. & H. Meyer went on to expand its global footprint with the opening of a new branch in Joinville, Brazil, one of the world’s most dynamic economies and the region’s largest.

Relocation to Bigger PremisesTo meet increased production demand, A. & H. Meyer Sdn. Bhd. acquired a factory in Shah Alam, Selangor. In the same year, the Malaysian subsidiary became our company’s Asia-Pacific headquarters.

Together with Horst Meyer, Peter established the company in
