ACC CROSS COUNRTY TEAM

THE PRINCIPAL'S PEN

Add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, and to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience, andto patience godliness, and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity.  2 Peter 1:5-7

In service,

Mr Aaron Guppy

Principal

Dear parents,

As Principal of The King's College, I continue to

look for every way possible to enhance the

communication between school and home. To be

honest, sometimes we do that well, but

sometimes we do that very badly. As a staff, we

talk often about how we can continue to improve

regular communication with parents. ClassDojo

has been a great blessing and many parents

speak very positively about this particular system;

however, every teacher needs to ensure that they

continue to send messages on a regular basis. If

you have not done so already, I encourage each of

you to use teacher's email addresses for

communication on a weekly basis.  If you have

any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate

to email the appropriate teacher.

Please remember that you can always contact me

at any time of the day or night via the following:

To enhance the communication process even

further, I have set aside time every morning

(commencing Monday 11 June) to speak directly

with parents face-to-face.  Each Monday to Friday

between 8.30am and 9.00am, I will be available

in the Interview Room, which is located in the

front reception area. The door will be open

(unless I am already speaking with someone) and

all parents are invited to come in and have a

chat.

The King's College is a very good school, but we

still have a great deal of work to do. I look

forward to working with parents to make our

beloved College an even better place.

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Letyour gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not

be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayerand petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to

God. And the peace of God, which transcends allunderstanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in

Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7 (NIV)

Car ParkThere have been recent reports ofunsafe driving in the car park. We wouldlike to give a few friendly remindersabout correct flow and speed so we cankeep our students safe in this area.

The speed limit within the Collegecampus is 20kph at all times.

All cars entering campus are to followthe road markings to allocated parkingbays or the "kiss and drop off" area asshown above. Please do not drop yourchildren off in any other areas. Thisincludes dropping off at the first turnonce on campus then turning right toexit. This is very unsafe and causescongestion.

In addition, please remember that thefront car park outside the administrationbuilding is for guest and staff parkingonly. This area is not for student pick upor drop off, including late students. Please do not enter this area.

Thank you for your consideration.

The Weekend Courierrecognised her achievements in both modellingand opera, and chose her as a top pick for theupcoming wearable arts festival. We pray thather showcase is a success as she follows herdreams in performance and arts.

This is the largest inter-schoolcompetition our College has ever been involvedin, with around 70 schools participating in thehuge one day event.
