commonly a means to meet these objectives.

The Smart Energy City, as a core to the concept of the Smart City, provides its users with a liveable, affordable, climate-friendly

and engaging environment that supports the needs and interests of its users and is based on a sustainable economy.”

ENERGY CONSUMPTION – Goals in 2025

• 20% reduction in heat consumption

• 20% reduction in electricity consumption in commerce and service sectors

• 10% reduction in electricity consumption in households

• Installation of photovoltaic panels



NEW BUILDINGS – How to do it City of Copenhagen will grow with about 7 mil. M2 until 2025. How to manage:

Building regulation 2020:

• Energy consumption in residential buildings: 20 kWt/m2

• Energy consumption in commercial buildings: 30kWt/m2


MOBILITY


• 75% of all travels in Copenhagen are by foot, on bike or by public transports

• 50% of all travels to school or work are on bike

• 20% more passengers uses public transportation

• 20-30% of all light vehicles use new alternative fuels, such as electricity, hydrogen, biogas or ethanol

• 30-40% of all heavy vehicles use alternative fuels

MOBILITY – Goals in 2025

• Reduction in energy consumption in municipal owned buildings on 40%

• Municipal new buildings constructed in accordance to building regulation 2020

• All city owned vehicles driven by electricity, Hydrogen or biofuels

• Energy consumption in street lightning down with 50 %

• Installation of 60.000 m2 photovoltaic panels on municipal owned buildings
