The whole school will be going down to Mullumbimby Civic hall in the morning for a rehearsal before the 6pm concert starting time. Huge thank you to Mrs van Kempen, Mrs Craigie and our wonderful Year 5 buddies who once again staged a highly enjoyable and successful Transition/Orientation day for our Kindergarten 2020. Thank you also to our current parents who came along and provided food and chatted with prospective parents. See photos attached. Year 5 and Year 6 are off to the combined VOSS STEM day at Main Arm Public School this Wednesday. Mr Eason and I will also be attending and look forward to what should be a productive, innovative and beneficial day for our Stage 3 students. Don’t forget that Friday November the 15th is the date set for the official opening ceremony of our yarning circle/ outdoor learning area. Our special guests Aine and Delta will return to Coorabell to work with the kids before a whole school performance of Aine’s song ‘In This House’. At 1.45pm Delta will lead the opening and conduct a special Arakwal smoking ceremony. All most welcome to attend this special occasion. Our P&C are hoping for donations of non- perishable food to help out the township of Bingara to be used to create Christmas hampers. There is a box in the front office where donations can be placed. Please see P&C news for further details. I will also be asking our SRC if they have any further ideas on how to support this highly worthy cause for our drought suffering friends. We would like to professionally film the concert, and then make it available to buy on a custom USB drive shortly after the concert. The USB will be available to buy for $15 each. Please register your interest with Nat (Hiva and Kuhane's mum) via [email protected], as the amount of interest will help us decide whether to film the concert. The more

people that pre-order the USB, the better as we can keep costs down. All proceeds will go to the P&C. Thank you PS. Nat is the magician behind the fete DVDs so they will be of great quality.

Community get together Thursday after the School concert Everyone welcome to meet at the Mullum Services Club after this weeks school concert. Food can still be ordered on the night. We have reserved a private room.

(Please note as it’s a licensed premise, children must wear shoes at all times. Children are not allowed near the bar or pokie area without parental supervision, this includes adult supervision for trips to the bathrooms.

Are you able to support a rural community facing serious challenges due to the ongoing drought with a food donation? Lets try and bring a smile to their faces this Christmas with food donations

for Christmas hampers. The Bangalow community and Lions Club has supported the farming community of Bingara (around 5 hours west) for around a year. They are working on creating 120 Christmas Day hampers for the school families and looking for donations of non-perishable Christmas Day foods for these hampers. I would love to see if our school can support this, please have a look and see if you can donate any food such

as cans of ham, salmon, fruit, veg, jams, preserves, lollies, biscuits, cartons of long life milk, custard and Christmas puddings. Nuts and crackers, Muesli bars etc - I'm sure you get the idea. Would your business or employer like to join in with a donation? You can drop off small donations at the school office, for larger donations email the P&C and we can organise a pick up. All donations to be received by the 14th of November please.
