It was great to hear the sweet tunes strummed out on Friday last week. I had the opportunity to listen to Mr Eason’s class playing and they sounded fantastic. Guy, our keyboard and guitar teacher also returned last week. The students are amazing and I congratulated them all on their perseverance in learning to play an instrument. I love the sound of music filtering through the school. Welcome back and thank you as music fills our souls. Shorty and Gretchen have promised After School Fun will recommence in term 3. We can’t wait to see them back. See the notice attached for more details. While it has been raining and the oval has been a little too wet to play on, the students have been super creative and have been building little houses throughout the playground. I love it when I am walking around while on playground duty and chatting with the children about the systems (and this includes roads, entrances and boundaries!!) they have created to make their imaginary communities work. We are certainly raising little artists, designers, town planners and civil engineers!! Caalen summed it up by saying ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’. See photos attached. (continued over page)

    SCHOOL ART NEWS

P&C UpdateThe P&C are really looking to make the 2nd half of this year as positive and enjoyable as possible and really looking to unite our community. In our last P&C meeting we agreed our priority really needs to be on the students and community and warmly welcome your ideas and input. For example we wont be able to held a large school fete but can we plan a school focused day of games and event? What ideas do we have to bring parents together. If school excursions are limited can we use our community connections to organise “incursions” which could also help support local people from Artists and Authors through to, gardening, environments, sports,

    or wellbeing specialists?

We have a meeting planned for Tuesday 30th June at 6pm to be held at the school library – everyone is welcome, if you cant make it but have some suggestions please email us on

    [email protected]

Lets come together and make the rest of the year memorable for lots of great reasons.

Can all students (except Kindy kids) please bring in an oversized T-shirt for their art lessons. This can remain in their bag & be used during art lessons to avoid any paint/ink stains on school shirts.

If your child does come home with paint/ink stains they should be washed in cold water only.

    Great view from 3/4 classroom
