Variety of ClimatesFacts to be taken into account:

Spain is a big and varied country.Climate is different in the different regions.The South is very hot.The North is cold and wet.The Mediterranean Coast has warm winters and very hot summers.In The Plateau of Castille temperatures are extreme: very cold in winter and very hot in summer

( In Madrid in summer, temperatures can be as hot as 40 degrees centigrate).

On the Canary Islands the climate is tropical

DIET AND CLIMATE CHANGE

One way of stopping climate change through DIET consists of consuming sesasonal and native food

Spanish COOKERY

We can´t talk about National Cuisine but rather about many regional cookeries, which are influenced in every case by Climate and native ways of living .

Spanish Gastronomy is well known by the use of olive oil and a great variety of vegetables and fruits. Mediterranean Cuisine is associated with The Mediterranean Diet, very beneficial not only for health but also for preserving the environment.

Our task will be to investigate about the conditions of living in each region and analyse the natural products from native agriculture and the benefits of their consumption.By knowing recipes we will preserve our traditional Cookery
