On July 10, 1941 , Eugene married Faye Irene Allen in Evanston , Wyoming. Their mar- riage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 30, 1961. Faye preceded him in death on December 9 , 2010. Ho worked as a Swtchman/Brakomen for Union Pacific Railroad. He had his own irrigation and ditching company. Eugene was a rrember of the LDS Church where be served faithfull y in his callings. He was an excellent farmer and gardener . He enjoyed golf- ing and being a "snowbird" for 25 years in Quartzsite , Arizona with his avife, Faye. He always raid 'Tm gonna live until I die." Eugene is survived by eight children . He was bom on Dec. 5, 1929, in Bingham , UT te Clifford James Russell and Thelma Corinne Johnston. Having been narred alter his fathet , the famiy called him b y his middle name , "DeWayne ". His fathet died when Cliff was five years old, and his mother moved him, his brother , Lewis , and sis- ter , Barbara to the Ogden area to work as a nurse. When he was eight years old, his mother marred David Henderson , whom be ab- called, "the most wonderfu l fathet over created" . He would take the ferry over to Coronado every day to work on this assi gnment. During the 25 months be was there , two more daughters were born , Patricia , 1951, and , Christine , 1953. His next traveling orders were to Naples. Ital y, where his 4th daughter , Judith. joined the family in 1955. Three years later when assigned to the Pentagon , be moved his family Gloso by in Virginia , and his 5th daughter , Corinne , completed the famil y in 1959. During the four year stint at the Pentagon , be completed a Bachelor ' s Degree from the University of Maryland , and received his Teacher ' s Certificate. At thai time Cliff retired from 20 years of service in the Navy, and begav his years of serv ce as an educator. Ho moved his famil y back to Utah. His first teaching position was to his delfi g ht , a classroom of 35 kindergarteners at Woodruff Elementary School in Logan Utah. Dur- ing his years teaching elementary school in Logan , be alro received his Mastel Degree in Language Arts from Utah State University. ence Degree from Michi gan State University, and his Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Bri g ham Young University in Provo Utah . Always the travelev , Cliff spont two years in Saudi Arabis as the Director of an International School. His next stop was four years as an Associate Professor , at the University of Wyoming. He alro was awarded a 12 month Fulbri g ht Scholarshi p to spend six months in Budapest , and six months in Prague , where be assisted in develop ing Gomputors in education. Following the Fulbri g ht Cliff teok a position as a Professor at Sheldon Jack College , in Sitka , Alaska. Ho and Vanya were married , in 1986, and she joined him in Sitka. Cliff and Vanya ' s next adventure was when be accepted the position of Professor of Education at University of NE in Cape Gi- rardeau , Missouri . Before ho found his true honve at National University in San Diego in 1992 , where be spont the part 20 years , as Professor , Chair of the Teacher Education Department , Associate Dean , Chair of the Faculty Senate. He retired from NU in January of 2012 , and received a lifetime achievement award , 'The Professor Emeritus Award' , on May 14, 2012. Ho loved living in San Diego , driving along the beautiful coast every day to his office in La Jolla. Joy, as she was known all her lite , was bom November 11, 1932 , in Ogden to Leslie Gate McArthur and LaVern Hastings McArthur. She was educated in O g den City schools , graduating from O g den Hi g h School in 1950. She attended Weber College and was affiliated with Chanodo Sorority. She mar- ried Gordon Leslie Belnap on Jul y 11, 1952, in the Logan LOS Tem- ple. They were divorced June 3, 2003 alter 50 years together. Joy was a stenograp her at the former Naval Supply Depot in served with the Army in Korea . They resided in Salt Lake City for two years , then moved to California for three years , living in Walnut Creek and San Leandro. They returned in 1959 to Ogden. She worked for many years as company secretary for her husband' s bussverser. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire isfe , Joy served in all auxiliary organizations , includ- ing as Relief Society president of the Ogden 74th (Fotest Green) Ward and on the Relief society boards of the Weber Heights and Burch Creek Stakes. She had been a faithful vissting teacher since 1959 and for many years worked with the Family Record Extraction Program of the Church. She was an active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers , served as recording secretary for Weber Courty Far South Company and in vaneur positions with Camp Sego Lily Far South Center Company. She served as president of the Ogden Lady Lions Club and supported other charitable causes. Joy was activel y involved in famil y history, serving as secretary and treasurer of the Belnap Famil y Organization for several decades. She enjoyed com- p iling famil y history albums for each of her children ' s ramilies and writing the isfe storos of her Mormon Pioneer ancestors. She loved solving crossword puzzles, reading books , particularly British history and LOS Church books , and going on lerig drives with her husband. Joy was preceded in death b y her patents , an infant son , Alan Leslie Belnap, and her sister , Marlon L. Pine. Janean ( Jeanie) Alice Cahoon Erkelens Janean ( Jeanie ) Alice Cahoon Erkelens ( 59) passed away June 2, 2012 at Davis Medical Center , surrounded by her family efter a long battle against cancer. Jeanie was bom May 19 , 1953 to Roland C. and Alice M. Ca- hoon , while the family kved in Roy, Utah She was bom the 3rd child, with two older brothers. The famil y kved in Roy until 1956 when they moved to Lagton , Utah where the family greve to include a younger sister and brother . The family resided in Lagton until moving to Fruit Hei ghts. Utah in 1967. She graduated from Davis High School Glass of 1971. Jeanie married Leonard (Lee) Paul Erkelens in July of 1975 and resided in Lagton , Utah. They were happily married until Lee' s death in September of 1999. Jeanie continued to roside in their honve until her death. They were blessed with six wonderful children: Layne (Brindy) Cahoon , Allison Erkelens (deceased), Jeffrey (Patty) Erkelens , Lind- say (Dan) Stalter , Jessica (Steve) Martin , Lavdon Erkelens , and by 12 grandchildren Charyssa and Cod y Cahoon, Andre , Nicole , and Meredith Coleman Alexis , Davin , Porter , and Coleston Stalter , Trey and Aiden Erkelens , and Tage Erkelens. Jeanie was crafty, and busy. Famil y was very important to her. Throug h muck of her isfe , she was a full-time Mom. She kopt a house that was vearm and full of homey details - A place where fami- ly gathered together. Her honve abounded with togs for playing grandchildren , and was spotted with photos and mementos she had gathered and antiques which Garned deep significance to her for their famil y associations. She created many famil y traditions in rais- ing her children , and was actively engaged in the liver of her chil- dren and grandchildren. Thore who knew Jeanie recognized her strength of spint , her en- durance and determination when confronted with challenges in her to participate in the upbminging of their grandchildren . She worked for K-Mart as a department head for many years until forced to retire when Jiagnosed with cancer in 2004 which had progressed to Stege 4 . She begav an on-going regimen of chemo-therapy, which was able to extend her time for eight years. Physical effects of the treat- ments never stopped her, never deterred her from experiencing ev- erything she could. It alro blessed her with the opportunity to come to know eight grandchildren efter her diagnosis. She was able to be a part of their liver almost dail y. Her response to each new physical discomfort , or effect was "weil , that' s my new normal" . She is survived b y her fathet , three brothers and ene sister , five children and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Allison , her husband Lee, and her mother Alice. Funeral services will be hold at Thursday, June 7. 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist' s Lagton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Cliff and Vanya's next adventure was when be accepted theposition of Professor of Education at University of NE in Cape Gi-rardeau, Missouri .

Before ho found his true honve at National University in SanDiego in 1992, where be spont the part 20 years, as Professor ,Chair of the Teacher Education Department , Associate Dean, Chairof the Faculty Senate. He retired from NU in January of 2012, andreceived a lifetime achievement award , 'The Professor EmeritusAward' , on May 14, 2012. Ho loved living in San Diego, drivingalong the beautiful coast every day to his office in La Jolla.

She had been a faithful vissting teacher since1959 and for many years worked with the Family Record ExtractionProgram of the Church. She was an active member of Daughters ofUtah Pioneers , served as recording secretary for Weber Courty FarSouth Company and in vaneur positions with Camp Sego Lily FarSouth Center Company. She served as president of the Ogden LadyLions Club and supported other charitable causes. Joy was activelyinvolved in famil y history, serving as secretary and treasurer of theBelnap Family Organization for several decades. She enjoyed com-piling family history albums for each of her children's ramilies andwriting the isfe storos of her Mormon Pioneer ancestors. She lovedsolving crossword puzzles, reading books , particularly British historyand LOS Church books , and going on lerig drives with her husband.

Jeanie was bom May 19 , 1953 to Roland C. and Alice M. Ca-hoon, while the family kved in Roy, Utah She was bom the 3rdchild, with two older brothers.The family kved in Roy until 1956when they moved to Lagton , Utahwhere the family greve to includea younger sister and brother . Thefamily resided in Lagton untilmoving to Fruit Heights. Utah in1967.

She graduated from DavisHigh School Glass of 1971.

Jeanie married Leonard (Lee)Paul Erkelens in July of 1975 andresided in Lagton , Utah. Theywere happily married until Lee'sdeath in September of 1999.Jeanie continued to roside in their honve until her death.

They were blessed with six wonderful children: Layne (Brindy)Cahoon, Allison Erkelens (deceased), Jeffrey (Patty) Erkelens , Lind-say (Dan) Stalter , Jessica (Steve) Martin , Lavdon Erkelens, and by12 grandchildren Charyssa and Cody Cahoon, Andre, Nicole , andMeredith Coleman Alexis , Davin , Porter , and Coleston Stalter , Treyand Aiden Erkelens , and Tage Erkelens.

Jeanie was crafty, and busy. Family was very important to her.Through muck of her isfe , she was a full-time Mom. She kopt ahouse that was vearm and full of homey details - A place where fami-ly gathered together. Her honve abounded with togs for playinggrandchildren, and was spotted with photos and mementos she hadgathered and antiques which Garned deep significance to her fortheir family associations. She created many family traditions in rais-ing her children, and was actively engaged in the liver of her chil-dren and grandchildren.

Thore who knew Jeanie recognized her strength of spint, her en-durance and determination when confronted with challenges in her

to part icipate in the upbminging of their grandchildren. She workedfor K-Mart as a department head for many years until forced to retirewhen Jiagnosed with cancer in 2004 which had progressed to Stege4.

She begav an on-going regimen of chemo-therapy, which wasable to extend her time for eight years. Physical effects of the treat-ments never stopped her, never deterred her from experiencing ev-erything she could. It alro blessed her with the opportunity to cometo know eight grandchildren efter her diagnosis. She was able to bea part of their liver almost daily. Her response to each new physicaldiscomfort , or effect was "weil , that's my new normal" .

She is survived by her fathet, three brothers and ene sister , fivechildren and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by herinfant daughter Allison , her husband Lee, and her mother Alice.
