About the company AO «Energia+21» was founded in 1993 as specialized polymeric insulator pro-

duction enterprise. Engineering development methods as well as technological pro-cess of Siberian Scientific Research Institute of Power Engineering, Novosibirsk,

became the basis for production of the first insulators. At the very beginning, the company produced only

three types of 70 kN insulators for 35, 110 and 220 kV.Today the range of produced insulators is largely in-

creased. It includes:• line suspension insulators (for power transmission

line from 10 kV up to and including 500 kV);• line post and pin insulators (for 10–35 kV);• post insulators (for 10÷220 kV voltage);• bushing insulators (for 10 kV);• pin insulators, for railway overhead constructions;• pin bird-protected insulators, for railway overhead

constructions;• interphase and insulating spacers.

All produced insulators are made of silicone rubber of high quality and have solid-cast ribbing.

Taking into account all kinds of connections for various voltage classes; loads 70, 120, 160, 210 kN; and levels of atmosphere pollution, the enterprise produces more than 120 types of line suspension insulators and cap-and-pin polymer insula-tors, more than 40 types of support insulators, and more than 30 types of railway insulators.

During 25 years of operational service of insulators produced by AO «Ener-gia+21», there are no records of insulator puncture, or its failure because of design or technological process reasons. The specialists of the company maintain business contacts with the customers and take their suggestions and requests with sensitivity. With due consideration to the opin-ion of consumers, the insulator design is permanent-ly modified that improves its technical characteris-tics, reliability and service life.

The company purposefully takes measures to searching for materials of higher quality with the fol-lowing replacement of employed materials.

Fiberglass, rubber compound, and materials for connection fittings enter the production with im-proved characteristics.

For dynamic consumer needs response the ma-jor part of connection fittings is produced in specially designed forging workshop. Moreover, in 2004 the

metal fittings hot galvanizing workshop was put into operation, along with the quality control laboratory of insulators, purchased materials and compounds. All these measures were taken for improvement of quality and reliability of products.

The quality management system established in the company is certified in accordance with the interna-tional standard ISO 9001.

AO «ENERGIA+21» effectively cooperates with design institutes, scientific research and test centres: research centre FSUE «RFNC-VNIITF», Moscow, «VNIIEM Corporation» JSC, Moscow, and «High Volt-age Direct Current Power Transmission Research In-stitute» JSC, St. Petersburg.

The products of AO «Energia+21» are certified by ENERGOSERT and ENSER-TIKO Associations, as well as by the System of Certification on the Federal Railway Transport.

Moreover, AO «Energia+21» is a constant par-ticipant of different exhibitions (primarily, special-ized power engineering exhibitions).

Due to high quality and novelty of goods, the company has been awarded multiple certificates and medals. According to the results of 2004, AO «Energia+21» was included in the Best People in Russia encyclopedia as the reliable business partner.

Also, the International Academy of Real Econo-my named the company «The enterprise of the year» in the nomination «Effective business technology», while the General Director Salov Oleg Veniaminovich was named «The man of the year».

During its development, AO «Energia+21» realized the high level of its respon-sibility for output products which have the immediate influence on stable operation of power transmission, and, as a result, provide the energy security of Russia. Thus, these factors encourage the company within a short time to apply new types of insulators and fit-tings, steadily improve the output goods, and expand its capacity. Moreover, the enterprise continues to found new work centres, and provide permanent development and growth of professional skills of the whole staff.

insulators for transmission linesComposite line insulators are accepted by The Research &

Design Center for Power Engineering (RDCPE) and recommended for application in the projects of RDCPE

General scope (application):Polymeric line insulators are intended for insulation and fixture of the conduc-

tors in the power transmission lines and bus arrangement of the switchgears of AC power stations and substations with voltage of 10–500 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz in the condition with various level of pollution. The climatic modification of the insulators is UHL and the category of disposing is 1 in accordance with Russian GOST 15150. The insulators are operated at maximum operating temperatures from -60°C to +50°C and installation at altitude no more than 1000 m above sea level.

Part II.Bird protection device

for composite suspension insulators

General scope (application):

Bird-protective device is designed to protect the composite suspension insula-tors from the waste products of birds and prevent the defeat of birds by electric current through a stream of manure. The bird protection device is mounted on the end fitting of a composite suspension insulator of class 70 kN or 120 kN and is used on overhead AC power lines with a voltage of 10–220 kV in areas with 1–4 degree of pollution. The climatic modification is UHL and the category of disposing is 1 in accordance with Russian GOST 15150. Bird-protective device is operated at maxi-mum operating tempera-tures from -60°C to +50°C and installation at altitude no more than 1000 m above sea level. Bird-protective device is made of silicone rub-ber, which is resistant to a wide range of environmental factors, so that the device retains its performance throughout the life of the product. In fig. 2 shows the use of the device in conjunction with the insulator LK 70/110-2SP.

Reference designation:PZU 31-300 is a bird protection device made of silicone rubber with an internal

diameter of 31mm and an outer diameter of 300 mm. It is manufac-tured according to TU 3494-035-21639232-2016 and complies with the re-quirements of the stan-dard of the organization of PAO «ROSSETI» STO 34.01-2.2-010-2015.

General scope (application):Polymeric pin insulators are intended for insulation and fixture of the conduc-

tors in the power transmission lines and bus arrangement of the switchgears of AC power stations and substations with voltage of 10–20 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz at temperature from -60°C to +50°C. The cli-matic modification of the insulators is UHL and the category of disposing is 1 in accordance with Russian GOST 15150 and meets to requirement of GOST 15543/1.

Part IV.Composite line post insulators

General scope (application):

It is intended for fastening and insulation uninsulated and insulated wires pro-tected by overhead power lines and switchgear stations and substations AC volt-age 10–35 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz in areas with 1–4 degree of pollution. Insulators is operated at maximum operating temperatures from -60°C to +50°C and installation at altitude no more than 1000 m above sea level.

The wire can be fixed in the gutter or on the neck of the insulator. Fixing to metal supports (traverse) is carried out by bolting. The presence of the gutter and the protective plastic sleeve allows the expansion of the wires without the use of rolling rollers. This reduces installation time and reduces its cost. After rolling the wires along the insulators, they should be fixed in the groove or on the neck of the insulator on straight sections of the line and on the neck – when the line turns.

Insulators have several modifications depending on the voltage of the net-work, diameter and length of the stud pin for attaching the insulator to the tra-verse. As agreed with the customer, it is possible to manufacture insulators with other con-necting stud pin sizes.

General scope (application)

Polymeric interphase insulating spacers are intended for insulating fixture of the conductors in the power transmission lines with voltage of 10–220 kV. The spacers are operated at outside temperatures from -60°C to +50°C and installation at alti-tude no more than 1000 m above sea level in the areas with 1–4 levels of pollution according to GOST 9920.

Post insulators for voltage of �5-220 kVare accepted by The Research & Design Center

for Power Engineering (RDCPE)and recommended for application in the projects of RDCPE

General scope (application)

Polymeric post insulators are intended for outside installation for insulating and fixture of current-carrying parts in electrical apparatus, switchgears of AC power stations and substations with voltage of 1–220 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz.

The climatic modification of the insulators is U3 and UHL, and the category of disposing is 1 and 2 in accordance with Russian GOST 15150. The insu-lators are operated at operating temperatures from -60° C to +50° C and in-stallation at altitude no more than 1000 m above sea level.

For the insulators of U3 and UHL2 acc. to GOST 15150 it is possible to com-plete with the flanges from non-magnetic material.

The shape of post surface of flanges is possible to be square or round.Technical conditions: TU 3493-014-21639232-2008; TU 3493-016-21639232-

General scope (application)

Composite bussing supports of outside installation are intended for fitting the current-carrying buses in switchgears of power stations and sub-stations of AC voltage of 10–220 kV, power frequency up to 100 Hz. Cli-matic performance UHL; the 1st category of installation acc. to GOST 15150. The supports are intended for operation at height not more 1000 m above the sea level at air temperature from -60° С to +55° С. Carrying ele-ments of supports are the composite post insulators of core type for 10–220 kV, manufactured acc. to TU 3493-017-21639232-2008.

General scope (application)

Polymer bushing is intended for the connection of current-carrying units in elec-trical apparatus and switchgears of power stations and substa-tions of AC nominal voltage of 10 kV, power frequency up to 100 Hz. Cli-matic performance of outer part is UHL, modification of performance 1 acc. to GOST 15150. Maximum of the ambi-ent temperature should not exceed 65° C when installed in complete switchgears and 80° C when installed in current leads.

Minimum of ambient temperature is -55° C.Insulators are designed to operate at 1,000 meter above sea level.

General scope (application)

Composite pin insulators are intended for insulating and fixture of traction line equipment with AC voltage of 25 kV, power frequency to 100 Hz and DC voltage of 3 kV in the areas with various level of pollution. Climatic performance is UHL, cat-egory 1 of installation acc. to GOST 15150, the insulators meet the requirements of GOST 15543.1.

The insulators with index «d» are subjected to additional testing to confirm the long term operation. Insulators with index «k» are manufactured with apply of glass fiber core with anti acid corrosion property.

Part X.Composite pin bird-protected insulators for traction lines

General scope (application)

Composite pin insulators are intended for insulating and fixture of traction line equipment with AC voltage of 25 kV, power frequency to 100 Hz and DC voltage of 3 kV in the areas with various level of pollution. Cli-matic performance is UHL, category 1 of installation acc. to GOST 15150, the insulators meet the require-ments of GOST 15543.1.

The main difference between bird-protected insulators and ordinary insu-lators is the increased insulating distance between the metal parts of the insulator and the higher length of leakage distance. At the same time, the discharge characteristics have increased, which significantly reduces the probability of overlap of the insula-tor due to external factors. The use of bird-protected insulators allows to increase the reliability and probability of trouble-free operation of the contact network. In vertical insulators it is possible to use a bird protection screen, which protects the entire insulator from the waste products of birds and prevents electric birds from striking through the droppings.

General scope (application):

The fittings are intended for assembly and adjusting the length of in-sulating sets for conductors and lightning wires of overhead transmission lines, for change the angle of coupling fittings with ball and socket connec-tion in the set.

The fittings are manufactured in climatic performance: UHL, installa-tion cat-egory 1 according to GOST 15150. The fittings meet the require-ments of GOST 13276, GOST 51177 and coupling dimensions correspond to GOST 11359 and GOST 27396.

Clevis SR-7-16 TU 3449-033-21639232-2009 – the clevis with mechanical failing load 70 kN (7 tf) and reference dimension of ball and socket connection of 16 mm.
