Live demos of 5G use cases India Mobile Congress 2019, the biggest and the most note- worthy telecom, internet, and technology event in South Asia will be hosting live demon- strations of several emerging technologies, especially 5G. Starting 14th October 2019 and going on till 16th October 2019, the 3 day long digital technology expo, themed “Imagine a new connected world: Intelli- gent, Immersive and Inventive” will witness 5G demos of technologies in the arena of disaster management, logistics, emergency medical services, incorporation of emerging technologies such as VR, AR, AI among others. 200 startups showcase innovations Telecom is the backbone of the economy. Even though the sector is in acute ﬁnancial dis- tress, owing to rising debts and falling revenues, startups in the sector are optimistic about the future. IMC 2019 is slated to witness widespread participation from startups, in telecom and other allied sectors. The Grand Innovation Challenge, organised in association with Invest India, Startup India, AGNIi and Nalco will recognise innovations in AI, IOT, Block- chain, 5G and other emerging technologies. 150 international buyers IMC 2019 will witness the participation of telecom service providers from across the globe – where they will discuss, deliberate and collab- orate with their Indian counter- parts and other stakeholders. 150 global buyers have already enlisted for IMC 2019. Make in India pavilion IMC 2019 will showcase a Make in India pavilion, where Indian companies will showcase their manu- facturing solutions and innovation prowess to the rest of the world. Domestic companies will exhibit their engineering and innovation potential. India has been making rapid strides in terms of technologies such as block chain, cyber security, augmented reality, IoT and M2M amongst others and this will be a suitable platform for showcase that.
