CONSOLIDATD MONTHLY REPORT-July 2019 ACTIVITY REPORT 1. Regular classes are held at Talnuagaon and Mohangiri Centres. Sarojit ji is taking his tuition classes at Sankalp Vidyalaya. Classes update and reports are received regularly over WhatsApp. 2. Sankalp Vidyalaya has started the academic session from 1 st July 2019. Sankalp sponsored the uniforms and tie-belt along with the batch for every student enrolled at the school. 3. Regular class updated are sent by Ms. Akanksha from Dhanbad Centre and Navodaya Preparation Classes are also running at Dhanbad. Class Tests were also held to evaluate the students. 4. Both the Jamshedpur based Navodaya Centres are running smoothly with President taking Hindi Classes at both the centres. DPP (Daily Practice Papers) are also given as tests for score enhancement measure. 5. An induction session to expand Navodaya Team and include second year volunteers will be held on 18 th August. 6. A PR session to counsel parents & children in the areas around Banta agar for Adarsh Bhawan area would be held on 18 th August. 7. Sankalp has started its Twitter Account w.e.f. from 15 th July to post the event updates and make social media netizens aware of Sankalp’s activities. 8. Common Tests would now be held from August month onwards. 9. Rotary Club based in Telco organized a stationery distribution and book donation at Telco Centre. Around 1500 books were donated for the library at Telco Centre by the Rotary Club. 10. A full house meeting was organized by the President on 26 th July for volunteers from final to second year. This was the first full house meeting after the summer break of 2019. 11. President encouraged the volunteers and appreciated their efforts in making Sankalp a vice of the underprivileged. 12. Local administration of Giridih District donated Sporting materials like Football and distributed toffees for the kids at Birhor Hostel. 13. A cleanliness camp was conducted at NIT Centre before starting the new session. 14. Proper Time Table ad daily routine has been framed at Sankalp Vidyalaya for the new batch. The time-table would be posted on the walls for the help of the students. 15. President visited Aashiyana Centre and finalized the recruitment of Vikash and Arvind in place of Rajnish, our teacher at Aashiyana Centre, who was with us for more than 4 years. 16. Rohan, intern for Telco Centre completed his training and was awarded the training certificate. 17. Sankalp provided schools books for all he children at Sankalp Vidyalaya. Since the school has got NOC from Odiya Medium, all the books were in Odiya language. 18. Regular reports from all the 4 centres of Giridih are sent over WhatsApp. Test Marks, Attendance and topic covered in the week are sent. Recently, the practice of teaching 3 English words daily has been extended to our Dhanbad & Giridih Centre as well. 19. This year, there was no summer break at NIT Centre as Akanksha & Jasmeet, 2 interns took classes and continued the session at the centre. 20. Students who had scored well in the test conducted at Birhor Centre were awarded by Anand, teacher at the centre.

CONSOLIDATD MONTHLY REPORT-July 2019

ACTIVITY REPORT

1. Regular classes are held at Talnuagaon and Mohangiri Centres. Sarojit ji is taking his

tuition classes at Sankalp Vidyalaya. Classes update and reports are received regularly

over WhatsApp.

2. Sankalp Vidyalaya has started the academic session from 1st July 2019. Sankalp

the school.

21. Getting inspired from the President, his Tata Steel colleague, Mr Rohit started his

own initiative by the name “Utthan” for the needy kids residing in areas around

Railway Station.

22. Imli Chauk Centre has started showing improvement in educational attainment levels.

All the students enrolled at the centre are now regular and classes are continuing

without any hassle.

23. Monthly Tests were held at both the Kalahandi based centres and narks attained by

the students were shared.

24. Sankalp won the Rashtra Prerna Award 2019 for its social contribution in the

education sector. Sourav, our 2k13 batch volunteers received the award on behalf of

the president in a ceremony held at Indore. Sourav shares his experience and joy after

receiving the award in the following words: Sourav: “Yesterday, was my one of the best moment of my life. Really it was a proud

moment while receiving the award on behalf of *Team Sankalp*. Thank you so much

for giving me this honour.

Sabhi manzil ek hi hai

Bas raste alag hai

Aur jaana ek dusre ke efforts ko, inspiration ko, ye zaruri hai

And that is the real motive of such programs

People from different states came there to receive the award

Was feeling proud to share our working, learning experience, success stories,

milestones we have achieved among them, and the appreciation received was

fabulous. It's the achievement of all the volunteers, who work, think day and night

to improve, progress and do some good before going to bed.

1 person was social activist from Odisha was working in *Malkangiri, Nuapada,

Mayurbanj* district for last 7 years. He promised us to collaborate with us for

working in those areas. 1 person was from Mumbai, environmental activist, I

expressed the interest of working in *Dharavi*, one of the most densely populated

area in the world, and one of the largest slum in the world and he was whiling

to helps us in near future.

Many more were there. Making connection and collaborating with them reduces our

efforts and increases the efficiency, and our reach to more people.

Once again, congratulations to each member of this beautiful Sankalp family.”

25. Monthly interaction led by President took place with the Team and special mention

was made to the tireless efforts which the volunteers are making for making the

different activities successful

1.Both Sankalp-A pledge to change and Sankalp Volunteers group FB page

noted huge hike in likes and membership over the month

2. Sankalp saw a huge rise in daily requests for addition to its FB Page of

Sankalp Volunteers Group.
