LocationSituated just outside the beautiful village of Shere in the heart of the Surrey Hills, our glorious country manor is steeped in history and set in 30 acres of picturesque gardens

and woodlands.

Shere is one of the most beautiful villages in the Surrey Hills, full of traditional English features, tempting tea-shops and a church originating from 1190. With so much charm, it is no surprise the village attracts many visitors, and has hosted

several film locations over the years.

Along with our beautiful rose gardens, on-site chapel and grand lawns, Burrows Lea really is the perfect backdrop for your

Your dream wedding with amazing views of quintessentially English countryside is offered at Burrows Lea. Nestled in some of Surrey’s most idyllic countryside, making it the perfect venue for

a beautiful English country wedding.

Having your wedding at Burrows Lea means you can have both your ceremony and reception in one location. Our in-house chapel is fully licensed to hold wedding ceremonies, offering couples the chance to tailor a service that suits them. It is non-denominational, so we can cater for all beliefs and expectations. Our on-site registrar will work with you to create your

perfect ceremony.

A wonderful sweeping driveway leads you up to the entrance of Burrows Lea, an imposing manor house set on a hillside overlooking the stunning views of the countryside. From the fabulous formal rose gardens to the wooded hollow and tree-lined walkways, the gardens are immaculately kept. During April and May be enchanted by the spectacular bluebell woodlands, which are magical.

With leafy trees, beautiful rose gardens and the outstanding views across the Surrey Hills, Burrows Lea is the perfect venue for a relaxed

summer wedding.

Many couples choose to have their ceremony in our in-house wood-panelled chapel. From just outside the chapel, the house has glass doors opening out onto a small lawn, where the guests are more than welcome to shower the happy couple with confetti.

Burrows Lea provides everything you would ever need or want, for 20 guests in the main house up to 150 in a marquee in our beautifully kept gardens, we are dedicated to creating an unforgettable English

country house wedding that is uniquely yours.

Continue your outside summer wedding experience and entertain your guests with a marquee reception. Positioned on the lawn in front of the main house,

our marquee is suitable for up to 150 guests.

Delicious, fresh, light summer menus can be crafted by our well-established approved catering partners. We can supply a selection of summer drinks, or simply provide your own

(a corkage charge will apply).

Weddings

Burrows Lea is the perfect venue for a charming winter wedding ceremony and reception. Alongside our reception dining room we offer our exclusive in-house chapel which can be dressed to your own taste; consider stunning winter flowers, foliage with berries, the scent of fresh fallen leaves, cinnamon, cedar, or even spiced

apples – the choices are endless.

With its wood panelled walls, grand rooms and impressive fireplaces, the manor house oozes warmth and grandeur. Add to this candles and fresh winter leaves above the mantels, and you have a beautiful and romantic setting for

your wedding.

A wedding breakfast can be served for up to 45 guests in our delightful dining room, or for the slightly larger party, a buffet style menu can be supplied for up to 80 guests. Our experienced team of catering suppliers will work with you

to create a menu that suits your requirements.

WeddingsCosy Winter

House & GroundsOur manor house accommodates up to 14 people

including a choice of honeymoon suite for the newlyweds. The deluxe accommodation, with its classic interior and unrivaled views of the Surrey

countryside, make it the perfect end to the perfect day. After your big day enjoy an intimate, freshly

prepared breakfast with your guests, served in the serene atmosphere of the dining room.

Additional local accommodation can also be recommend by our wedding team if required.

Catering at

Burrows LeaAt Burrows Lea we pride ourselves in providing hand-selected, approved catering partners for your special day. These talented chefs are primarily picked for their tasty, innovative culinary creations, but also for the wide variety of fresh

seasonal and regional ingredients.

From bite-sized canapés that burst full of flavour, to the most appetising of starters and the finest of main courses, our caterers are on-hand to create a varied menu that suits you. The striking presentation and superb service will give your wedding party a sumptuous dining experience whilst being seated in the most

amazing country setting.

Our wedding team will organise menu tastings and work with you, and the chosen caterer, assisting you in the selection of a menu which will be prepared to your own special requirements.

To accompany the perfect menu, we provide fine wines and champagne. You are also welcome to provide your own wine and champagne for your wedding breakfast – for which there will be an

additional corkage charge.
