GURU Training now displays in two sections

“Team Member Positions” and “Regional Training”.

1. After logging into BK LINK, you will be taken to the redesigned Homepage

2. Click “BK GURU” on the left menu

5. Select “September 2019”

6. These Release Notes provide a high level summary of all changes, including some further detail to the changes that may not be described in this deck. Provide these Release Notes to the restaurants in combination with other launch materials.

1. Login to BK LINK using your current credentials

2. Click “Administration Tools” in the Left Menu

3. Select “User Management” from the sub-Menu

4. Select the “Add” icon in the top right corner of the User Management page

5. Fill out the form following the required formats for your organization, and selecting the appropriate alignment

6. Select the appropriate role for the user, selecting any Manager role will assign all positions in addition to the Foundations materials, selecting “Team Member” will prompt you to select a position (See next step)

7. Click the appropriate alignment options, this will make the positions appear. Click the check box next to the position you wish to assign to the Team Member (Basics is automatically assigned and cannot be removed)

8. Use the arrow keys to prioritize training. The position that is highest on the list will show up first in the Team Member’s learning flow, requiring it to be completed first

9. Click the save icon in the top right corner to create the user, if the save button is greyed out, it means the form has not been completed correctly. If you do not assign a position, the user cannot be saved/added

1. Select “User Management” from the sub-Menu

2. Search for the desired user using the top search box

3. Click the “View” Icon next to the desired user

4. Click the “Edit” Icon in the top right corner

5. Scroll down and add a check mark to the desired position, using the arrows to determine priority. Once a Team Member starts the modules for a position, it cannot be removed

1. Select “User Management” from the sub-Menu

2. Search for the desired user using the top search box

4. Click the “Deactivate” button in the User’s Profile

5. Navigate to the scorecard of the person that needs the module reset and click “View” for the desired position to reset

6. Click the “Edit” button at the bottom of the Position Scorecard

7. Mark all items as “No” under the desired module

8. Click “Complete” and then have the user re-complete the desired module

1. Select “Position Scorecard” from the sub-Menu

2. Select “Positions” or “Team Members from the View By Menu in the top left corner

3. Navigate to the scorecard of the person that needs the scorecard reset and click “View” for the desired position to reset

4. Click the “Edit” button at the bottom of the Position Scorecard

5. Make any changes and then click “Save”

6. Navigate away from the page and come back to complete it when you are ready

Kiosk mode is designed to allow restaurants to display training and log completions, organization news, and product launches in an automatically updated format. Kiosk Mode is designed to be played in a full screen manner on any chosen device, it is recommended to have it play in the Crew Room so that the Team can see any highlights

1. Select “Launch Kiosk” from the login page

2. Enter credentials, including the location that you wish to have displayed during Kiosk Mode and click “Launch Kiosk” after selecting the desired language, only one location can be displayed at a time

1. Click “Reports” in the Left Menu

2. Click “Proficiency Report” in the sub-Menu

3. Select desired filters across the top and then click the Download button in the top right corner, change no filters for all Team Members

4. Download will begin to the “My Files” area under My Profile

5. Download the Report by clicking the Excel Icon

6. Excel will Open and Display as Below

All positions will display across the top of the report

Cells that are 100% mean the user is Certified to work in that Position, a blank area means that the Position is

assigned but the person is not Certified in that Position yet, N/A means the position is not assigned

The user’s name will appear here along with their hire date

Position Scorecards function very similarly to the Performance Scorecards in that they are a measure of the Team Member’s competency of key factors. Instead of focusing on competency in relation to general restaurant areas, the Position Scorecards focus on competencies as it relates to a specific position within the restaurant

Training Checklists do NOT replace the Position Scorecard, and in order to be fully certified in a Position, the Team Member must have a “100% Pass” on a Position Scorecard, the Training Checklist is a Guide to ensure all items are trained on as part of the four step training process

1. Once you are ready to complete the Position Scorecard for a user, Login to BK LINK using your current credentials

2. Click “Reports” in the Left Menu

3. Select “Position Scorecard” from the sub-Menu

4. Select “Team Members Requiring Actions” from the View By drop down in the top left corner

5. Navigate to the scorecard of the person that needs the scorecard completed and reset and click “View” for the desired position to certify

6. Toggle the Yes/No/Not Applicable button as required

7. Fill in comments as required, and click complete

8. The user is only considered certified in a position once they have earned a “100% Pass” score

1) Plan and Prepare

• Schedule the training with the Team Member and the Trainer

• Have a clear training plan for the Team Member, print all Position Guides before the Team Member arrives

• Add the Team Member to BK LINK

2) Discover and Demonstrate

• Introduce the Team Member to the station and have them shadow the Trainer to see how the tasks should be performed at the station

• Utilize the activities in the Position Guide as well as questions asked by the Team Member

3) Practice and Perform

• The Team Member will take over the station while the Trainer watches, guides, and coaches them on accurate procedures

• The Trainer may use the Training Checklist or Position Guide during this time

4) Coach and Validate

• The Team Member should practice at the station, while the Trainer is verifies knowledge ensuring procedures are properly executed without coaching

• The Manager will perform the final certification on the Position Scorecard after sign-off from the Trainer

The Position Guides act as the pathway for the Team Member to follow while learning a position

Position Guides have various activities and knowledge checkpoints, in addition to telling the Team Member when they need to complete LINK modules

Everyone learns differently, use the Position Guides as a framework, and add or remove content as needed

Super Badges are automatically awarded to Team Members who have become Certified in all Positions under Front of House, Back of House, or Breakfast groupings

Super Badges are automatically awarded once a Team Member is certified in all Positions under a Grouping in addition to the Basics Modules
