Dear Conference Participants,
Welcome to our seventh WIDA Annual Conference in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island! Our theme this year, “Teaching for Equity in a Multilingual World,” speaks to the commitment we share for ensuring all our students have equitable opportunities to succeed. Over the next few days, I encourage you to engage with your colleagues, share ideas, listen to new ones, and take in all the enthusiasm that has made this event the rich experience it has become.
Next year’s event, “Multilingualism for the Future,” will be held in the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado from October 26-29, 2020. Please consider joining us again, either as a participant or a presenter!
Finally, thank you for making your work with multilingual students a priority every day and for taking time to grow with us.

• Wear your name badge at all conference functions, including meals and receptions.• Please do not record audio or video. You may take pictures within the event for purposes of company or annual
reports, company media pieces, marketing materials, etc.• Help us make next year’s event better by filling out the electronic survey, accessed through the mobile app, for
each breakout session you attend and by completing the conference survey you will receive a few days after theconference ends.
