The FCO has committed to substantially increase its contribution to UK Official Development Assistance(ODA) in order to meet the UN target of 0.7% GNI devoted to ODA by 2013. We must record and monitorODA project expenditure. To count as ODA the following criteria must be met: (1) the project must occur in the DAC-listed country and (2) the main objective of the project must promote welfare, education, goodgovernance and economic development in the recipient state.
