FLOATING BALL VALVESFloating ball valves are available from 1/4’’ to 6’’ – ASME class 150 to 1500 in several combi-nations of materials and execution to cover all possible service application.
TRUNNION MOUNTEDTrunnion ball valves are available from 1/4’’ to 36’’ – ASME class 150 to 2500, API 5000 and 10000 inseveral combinations of materials and executionto cover all possible service application.
ANTI BLOW OUT STEMThe stem of MD ball valves has an anti-blow out design as BS5351 specification. The pressure thrust on the stem is supported by a washer in antifriction material (PTFE charged).
FIRE SAFE DESIGNBall valves have been succeeded to fire testing and are certified fire safe. Conformance to BS6755 part II, API607, EN ISO 10497, TOTAL SGM 2040 TUY SC01.
ANTI STATIC DEVICEElectrical continuity assured between the ball, stem, body and other components. Different materials are used as conductive bridges.
SECONDARY SEALANT INJECTION FOR SEATS6” and above.
TIGHTNESS OF THE UPPER STEMDual sealing arrangement includes non metallic seal rings plus a graphite gasket at the static body closure interface.This seal arrangement ensures zero leakage and fire safety.
SELF LUBRIFICATING BEARINGSSmooth self lubricated bearings ensure a low and constant working exertion. No lubricating is needed. The bearing in PTFE coated are designed to ensure an excellent service with the most aggressive working conditions. Special bearings can be provided on request.
CAPTIVE BLEEDVent connection at the bleed valve outlet is plugged with a metallic screwed bleed plug fitted with a captive bleed screw.

Fluid pressure acting in the body cavity creates a resultant thrust that pushes the seat rings away from the ball.
The single piston design permits the automaticrelease of any overpressure in the body cavity when the valve is in the fully open or fully closed position.
Consequently, the seat rings are «self-relieving.»
Double piston effectFluid pressure, both upstream and down-stream as well as in the body cavity, cates a resultant thrust that pushes the seat rings towards the ball.
Valves with double piston effect seat rings require a relief valve to reduce the build-up of overpressure in the body cavity.

In standard this valve can be supplied with high coating tungsten carbide thickness up to 400 Microns.
