Introduction to

EFK Batam PlantsPT ELNUSA FABRIKASI KONSTRUKSI (EFK)formerly PT PURNA BINA NUSA (PBN) is asubsidiary company of PT ELNUSA Tbk.EFK has two Plants in Batam; OCTGSupply, Oil & Gas Fabrication ConstructionServices Company. Both plants adjacentto each other, occupy 8.3 Ha of Elnusas10 Ha land in front of Batu Amparharbor.

Land area of OCTG Threading Plant isaround 3 Hectares. When the workload ishigh, we have extra 3 Ha land area forpipe storages. From the plant main gateto the port wharf is around 200M.

The Plant was established in 1982.Through the years EFK has acquired manyexperience and manufacturing skills inproducing all kinds of OCTG pipeconnections and its accessories. EFK willcut and threads to both end of pipes andeach pipe will be provided with itssuitable coupling or connector (for big sizepipes). All finished pipes will be corrosionprotected and its threads are alsophysically protected by the suitableprotectors at both ends. The finishedpipes are safe for storage andtransportation to well sites.

The main products are all kind of OCTGfinished pipes for tubing and casing utilizein oil & gas wells, either in exploration orproduction stages. The plant receivesplain end pipes with its coupling materialseither supplied by customers or EFK PipeTrading Department. EFK is one of the

largest threading plants in South East Asia.

Currently EFK plant capacity is around60,000 MT per year of pipe throughputs.

Since the beginning of its operation EFKhas used computer numerical control(CNC) Machines with semi automatic pipehandling systems. Currently EFK usesmore than 20 CNC machines. All size of OCTG pipe connections, from tubing size 23/8 to 20 casing, can be produced withvery high precision threads utilizingrelatively new machines.

EFK plant is API certified. It also hascertifications to produce several premiumconnections with different type of threads. Premium connections require avery high precision thread. The ability toproduce high quality products is one of EFK strength acquired through years of experience.

The 5.2ha fabrication plant is capable of manufacturing processing modules,pressure vessels,industrial steel structuresand etc..

Batu Ampar is the biggest seaport inBatam located in the west side of theisland facing Singapore. There are severalInternational Ferry Boat Ports and oneInternational Standard Airport in Batam.The ferry boat ride from Batu AmparHarbor Bay port to Singapore is 40minutes.

Batam islands is a Free Trade Zone area.Import & export taxes and duties are

exempted.

Plant Introduction

The 52,000 SqM Fabrication plant, located right in harbor front of Batu Ampar port, specializes in Oil & Gas Processing Modules,Compressors Modules, Process Equipments, Pressure Vessels, SteelStructures, and other Industrial Steel Structures.

Originally this Fabrication Plant is one of the first Industrial plantsin Batam Island. It was built in 1971 as Steel Plate Processing Plant(PSPP) of PERTAMINA producing components for oil storage tanks.Through the years ELNUSA, a subsidiary company of PERTAMINA,developed and upgraded this plant into its current condition. Currently ithas 7,000 sqM covered area consist of 2,300 sqM machine shops; 4,100sqM assembly area with overhead cranes; 10,000 sqM hardened openyards; and another possible extension of 15,000 sqM of open yard.

The distance to the harbor wharf from the yards gate is around40 M. The plant has several gates for incoming and outgoing traffic witheasy roadway access.
