L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è un’azienda italiana specializzata nella produzione di isolanti

elastomerici per isolamento termico e acustico, che vanta una presenza in tutto il mondo con le sue filiali commerciali ed i suoi impianti produttivi. I prodotti e le soluzioni per l’isolamento K-FLEX trovano applicazione nei settori più diversi: dall’edilizia ai trasporti, dal petrolchimico alle energie rinnovabili. L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è leader di mercato a livello mondiale grazie alla qualità e all’innovazione tecnologica dei suoi prodotti, che rivestono inoltre un ruolo fondamentale in un’ottica di contenimento dei consumi energetici e di riduzione dei gas serra.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è un esempio di successo dell’industria italiana nel mondo. L’impianto di Roncello, situato al nord di Milano, nucleo originario dell’azienda attivo dal 1989, è oggi il più grande al mondo per la produzione di isolanti elastomerici. Centro di coordinamento internazionale per le funzioni Ricerca e Sviluppo tecnologico, Re-engineering degli impianti produttivi, Marketing e Comunicazione, la capogruppo italiana de L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX.

Nel 2009 è stata inaugurata la nuova sede, situata nelle vicinanze dello stabilimento originario nella zona industriale di Roncello con una superficie di 60.000 m2 coperti per un investimento complessivo superiore ai 70 milioni di euro. L’edificio è costruito in ottemperanza alle più severe normative sulla sicurezza (L. 626 e successive modifiche) ed in ossequio alle disposizioni vigenti in tema di risparmio energetico (Dlgs. 311). L’installazione dell’impianto con pannelli solari termici garantisce una quota superiore al 50% del fabbisogno della struttura.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX is an Italian manufacturing company specialized in the production of thermal

and acoustical elastomeric insulation materials. K-FLEX has production facilities and subsidiary networks around the globe in order to supply their products to a worldwide customer base. Its diversified product range provides solutions for various market sectors, including building, transportation, petrochemical and renewable energy. K-FLEX is a worldwide market leader thanks to its focus on technological innovation and the quality of its products that play an essential role in energy consumption control and the reduction of the greenhouse gas emission.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX is an example of a successful Italian company that has established itself worldwide. The company is present in 43 countries, with 12 production facilities and more than 1,500 employees. In addition, the company has 10 commercial distribution branches, located all over the world, for the efficient and effective global distribution process of its products.

The original manufacturing plant, located in Roncello (north of Milan), was founded in 1989 and is today the largest in the world for the production of elastomeric insulation. The Headquarters, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX, is an International Coordination Center for Technological Research and Development, Re-engineering of production facilities, Marketing and Communications.

In 2009, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX inaugurated its new Headquarters of, located near the original plant in the industrial area of Roncello, has an area of 60000 square meters for a total investment of more than 70 million. The building, located in the industrial area, is built in compliance with the strictest Safety Requirements (L.626, and amendments) and in accordance with the Regulations for the Energy Saving (Legislative Decree 311). The Solar Thermal Panels system installation produces more than 50% of the daily need of hot water.

consumo energetico ed un sistema di riciclo degli scarti di produzione che ne consente il recupero pressoché totale (90%).

La capacità produttiva del nuovo stabilimento è pari a circa 150 milioni di metri di tubi isolanti (pari a 3 volte il giro della Terra) e 10 milioni di metri quadrati di lastre isolanti all’anno.

Un importante investimento è stato fatto nell’automazione dei magazzini. Il nuovo magazzino, progettato in collaborazione con Siemens e Marcegaglia per ottimizzare l’occupazione dello spazio e la velocità operativa di prelievo, è costituito da una struttura che permette di occupare interamente l’altezza dei locali, fino ai 12 metri. Un sistema computerizzato permette all’operatore di interfacciarsi con facilità semplificando la gestione delle operazioni di prelievo e reperimento rapido dei prodotti. I magazzini sono predisposti per operare con sistemi di movimentazione automatici (AGV). Oggi L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è in grado di stoccare 40.000 pallet europei (EPAL), che corrispondono a circa 10.000 metri cubi di prodotto finito.

II magazzino automatizzato è completato da tre MODULA (Magazzino Automatico Verticale) - la soluzione ideale per la gestione di volumi importanti che offre un’elevata velocità di movimentazione. Il sistema è creato per massimizzare lo spazio e la flessibilità per lo stoccaggio di materiali e accessori.

Un’area di 900 m2 dedicata alla preparazione dei materiali per la spedizione è stata realizzata con particolare riguardo agli aspetti e principi ergonomici nell’organizzazione del lavoro. L’area spedizione dei materiali è in grado di approntare e caricare una quantità pari a 60 TIR completi al giorno (oltre 18000 TIR completi all’anno).

An important investment is made to the automation of Warehouses. The New Warehouse Automation is developed in collaboration with Siemens and Marcegaglia. For space optimization and fast picking process, there was applied a structure that permits to use up to 12 meters of the height of premises. An easy operator interface of the computerized system ensures the simplified management, picking and rapid retrieval of products, optimizing the time. The Warehouse is implemented with Stock Automation System (AGV). Nowadays, the L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX is able to store 40000 European pallets (EPAL) that corresponds to approximately 10000 cubic meters of finished product.

The automated warehouse is completed with three MODULA (The Vertical Storage System). It is an ideal solution for management, fast picking and retrieval of components. The MODULA system is made to maximize space and flexibility, are used for storage of high-value components and materials (accessories).

An area of 900 square meters is dedicated to the preparation of materials ready for shipment. This area has been designed with particular attention to ergonomic principles and aspects of work.The shipping area is able to prepare and load a quantity of materials equal to 60 complete tracks per day and more than 18000 complete tracks per year.

The Company UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certified, offers a wide range of product that ensure quality, reliability and compliance with market standards. The products of L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX also play a very important role in conserving the environment by improving the relationship between energy consumption and pollutant emissions, controlling energy consumption and reducing the release of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Da anni l’azienda opera nei tradizionali settori dell’Idrotermosanitario, della climatizzazione e del riscaldamento e della refrigerazione (HVAC)*, nei quali mantiene una posizione di leadership grazie alla capacità di introdurre innovazioni tecnologiche. Sono, invece, i settori del beverage, dell’antincendio, dell’energia solare e dell’acustica i nuovi mercati strategici in cui L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX ha diversificato e sta sviluppando le proprie attività.

Il crescente ruolo che negli ultimi anni stanno assumendo le fonti rinnovabili, in ragione dell’aumento del prezzo del petrolio e di una sempre minore disponibilità di fonti energetiche tradizionali, rendono il solare termico, al pari delle altre fonti rinnovabili, un mercato in forte sviluppo. Il mercato del solare termico per il riscaldamento dell’acqua ad uso sanitario ha segnato una forte crescita nel 2006 (+47%), sostenuta anche dai numerosi incentivi fiscali concessi in molti Paesi europei. Considerando che ancora per il riscaldamento e il raffreddamento si utilizzano principalmente fonti energetiche non-rinnovabili, questo settore ha un grande margine di crescita. Questo mercato, in particolare, che concerne la distribuzione idraulica connessa al solare termico, costituisce un’area di business strategica per L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX.

The Company has operated in the traditional sectors of HVAC* for many years, maintaining a leadership position thanks to its ability to introduce technological innovations. Recently, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX has worked to diversify its product base into new applications and market niches. The Beverage, Fire Stopping, Solar Energy and Acoustic markets are new areas that K-Flex has recently entered.

Due to increase in the price of oil and a lower overall availability of traditional energy sources, the renewable resources market is playing an increasingly important role. As part of these renewable resources, Solar Thermal has become one of the strongest developing markets. Solar Thermal for water heating had a strong growth in 2006 (+47%), supported by numerous tax incentives granted in many European countries. Considering that the heating and cooling markets consume the most non-renewable energy resources, this sector has very strong growth capabilities. This particular market of Solar Thermal is therefore a strategic business for the L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX.

LA STORIA

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è stata costituita nel 1989, a Roncello, in provincia di Milano, con il primo

impianto di produzione di isolanti elastomerici per l’isolamento termico. Fondata da Amedeo Spinelli - tuttora presidente e proprietario - grazie ad una precedente e consolidata esperienza nel settore dell’industria della gomma, l’azienda contava inizialmente 35 addetti.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX si afferma e cresce rapidamente: nel 1993, consolidata un’importante quota di mercato in Italia, inizia l’espansione in Europa con l’apertura di sedi commerciali in Francia e in Spagna (nel 1995 a BarcellonaeinseguitoaMadridnel1998).

Nel 1998, a quasi dieci anni dalla sua fondazione, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX inizia a volgere lo sguardo oltre i confini europei, inaugurando in Cina (K-FLEX Rhein) il primo dei 4 stabilimenti di produzione sul territorio cinese, l’ultimo dei quali sarà pienamente operativo all’inizio del 2009. Nel 1999 viene aperto uno stabilimento in Turchia e, nel marzo del 2001 si inaugura lo stabilimento negli USA a Youngsville (Nord Carolina), poi in Russia (2005) e nel 2008 in India e in Malesia.

Nel frattempo è continuato lo sviluppo anche in Europa, con nuove filiali in Germania (dicembre 2000), in Scandinavia (luglio 2005), in Polonia (dicembre 2005), nel Regno Unito (aprile 2006) e, a luglio del 2008, in Romania.

In 1989, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX founded its first production plant for elastomeric flexible foam

insulation materials in Roncello, Italy, a province of Milan. The company with founded by Amedeo Spinelli, the current president and owner, whom had previous experience in the rubber manufacturing industry. Initially, the company started with only 35 employees.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX quickly asserted itself in the market and grew rapidly. In 1993, K-FLEX had already established a significant market share in Italy and was expanding into other European markets with the opening of offices in France and Spain (Barcelona in 1995 and Madrid in 1998).

Almost ten years after its foundation, in 1998, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX began its expansion outside of Europe by inaugurating K-FLEX Rhein, the first of four Chinese manufacturing plants. The last Chinese plant will be fully operational in the beginning of 2009. K-FLEX also opened a factory in Turkey in 1999 and, in March 2001, started a plant in the U.S. (Youngsville, North Carolina) and then continued its expansion into Russia (2005), India (2008) and Malaysia (2008).

The Company has also continued its development in Europe with new branches in Germany (December 2000), Scandinavia (July 2005), Poland (December 2005), the United Kingdom (April 2006) and Romania (July 2008).

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è cresciuta rapidamente, espandendo e diversificando le linee di prodotto in differenti settori e consolidando la propria presenza sui mercati di tutto il mondo: in quest’ottica, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX ha recentemente concluso alcune acquisizioni strategiche in Inghilterra, Cina e Stati Uniti.

In particolare, il 2008 è stato un anno importante in questo senso, poiché K-FLEX ha concluso alcune operazioni strategiche di consolidamento in mercati di grande rilievo. A gennaio del 2008 L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX ha acquistato le quote della Joint-Venture Nomaco K-FLEX in USA: la nuova società, K-FLEX USA L.L.C., è ora a capitale totalmente italiano e, grazie a 5 punti di distribuzione dislocati sul territorio statunitense, assicura una veloce ed efficiente risposta alle esigenze dei clienti, con l’obiettivo di diventare player dominante nel business dell’isolamento nel Nord America.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX has grown rapidly, not only in size, but also in its product range. K-FLEX has expanded and diversified its product lines to reach many different markets, as well as worked to consolidate its presence in existing markets around the world. The Company has recently concluded several strategic acquisitions in England, China and the United States.

Over the course of 2008, K-FLEX completed several strategic consolidations in major markets. L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX acquired shares of their joint venture Nomaco K-FLEX USA in January 2008. The Italian company now holds all shares of the new company, K-FLEX USA LLC. This strategic acquisition ensures a fast and efficient distribution network and central location in U.S. territory to support their goal of becoming a dominant player in the North American insulation business.

Nell’aprile del 2008, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX consolida il controllo sulle attività in Cina, siglando un accordo per acquistare tutte le quote possedute dalla Pan-Chen Overseas Co. Ltd. in K-FLEX (Hong Kong) Insulation Company Limited e assumerne il completo controllo. La forte presenza de L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX nel mercato cinese ha portato risultati in termini di crescita annuale a due cifre negli ultimi cinque anni: questa acquisizione permette al Gruppo di focalizzare al meglio le proprie strategie sia in Cina sia nell’area Asiatica e del Pacifico, attraverso una più rapida introduzione di innovazioni tecnologiche.

Ultima in ordine temporale è l’acquisizione del 100% di BevEx Ltd, che rappresenta per L’ISOLANTEK-FLEX una importante diversificazione, attraverso l’ingresso nel settore food and beverage.

In April 2008, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX consolidated its control over activities in China by signing an agreement between K-FLEX (Hong Kong) Insulation Company Limited and Pan Overseas Co-Chen Ltd that allowed the Italian company to acquire all of the shares. The strong presence of L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX in the Chinese market has brought good results in terms of annual growth over the past five years. This acquisition allows the K-FLEX Group to improve its strategies in China and in the Asian-Pacific area through a more rapid introduction of technological innovations.

The last strategic activity of 2008 was the 100% share acquisition of BevEx Ltd. BevEx offers an important diversification opportunity for L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX through its presence in the Food & Beverage sector.

A differenza di quanto avviene in altri mercati, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX non utilizza l’internazionalizzazione per ottenere forza lavoro a costi più competitivi, ma per servire i mercati domestici interni. I prodotti isolanti termici sono materiali ad alta densità di volume che ne rendono non competitivo il trasporto: una presenza produttiva locale per il mercato interno costituisce un importante fattore strategico. Questa strategia di internazionalizzazione distributiva e produttiva garantisce una presenza capillare nei mercati internazionali e, grazie alla flessibilità di adeguamento al contesto competitivo, consente di affrontare un mercato globale in continua evoluzione.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX also has commercial distribution branches in Spain, Norway, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Poland, Romania and Japan. There are further plans to establish new production facilities within the next three years, as well.

K-FLEX’s international production network is in response to a rapidly expanding thermal insulation market. Unlike other markets, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX does not globalize as a strategy to decrease labor costs, but instead, is expanding in order to more efficiently reach local markets. Thermal insulation materials are high volume products and shipping costs have a strong impact on pricing. Maintaining a close vicinity to the local market and reducing transportation costs are, therefore, important strategic factors in this industry. A close proximity to customers provides K-Flex with the flexibility to adapt in this global market that is constantly evolving.

La sede italiana oggi è in grado di garantire la pronta consegna di prodotti K-FLEX in tutti i paesi europei grazie ad un magazzino di 80.000 m2 e un volume di stoccaggio medio di 160.000 m3 di materiali. Sono in corso i lavori per la realizzazione del nuovo sito produttivo de L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX nei pressi della sede attuale, che consentirà un potenziamento della capacità produttiva della capogruppo di Roncello. Le sedi produttive estere e la rete distributiva presente in 43 paesi coprono le richieste del resto del mondo. Tale efficienza è raggiunta anche grazie ad un magazzino automatizzato in grado di garantire spedizioni rapide: ogni anno oltre 15.000 camion completi e oltre 2.000 container trasportano i prodotti K-FLEX dalla sede italiana ai centri distributivi dei vari Paesi.

Sviluppo dei mercati esteriL’ISOLANTE K-FLEX è presente in Cina sin dal 1998 con lo stabilimento produttivo di Guangzhou. Guangzhou è la più grande città costiera del sud della Cina, capoluogo della provincia di Guangdong, la terza città della Cina per popolazione ed importanza con i 10.700.000 abitanti. Nel 2004 viene inaugurato il sitoproduttivodiWuxi (EstdellaCina).Nel2006viene aperto in Cina l’impianto di Chongqing per serviremeglio l’areacentro–ovestdelgranpaeseasiatico.

Dopo quasi 10 anni di presenza nel mercato cinese, nel 2007 L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX decide di compiere un’importante scelta strategica: aprire in Cina il più grande sito produttivo fuori dall’Italia. Il nuovo stabilimento viene realizzato a Suzhou (Shangai), una delle città cinesi con il più alto sviluppo economico. La partecipazione di SIMEST Spa (finanziaria di sviluppo e promozione delle imprese italiane all’estero, controllata al 76% dal Governo Italiano) è il segno importante della bontà della scelta intrapresa. Il nuovo sito di Suzhou dispone di una superficie produttiva di circa 32.000 metri quadrati ed è pienamente operativo dall’inizio del 2009.

The Italian production facility, with a warehouse of 80,000 m2 and a medium storage volume of 160,000 m3 of material, is able to ensure the timely delivery of K-FLEX’s products to all countries in the European Union. A new production site of L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX will be completed soon, near the current premises. The new site will allow K-FLEX to further increase the production capacity of its headquarters in Roncello. The company’s automated warehouse technology ensures express shipments of more than 15,000 trucks and 2,000 containers each year, carrying K-FLEX products from the Italian unit to the distribution centers of different countries.

Further ExpansionL’ISOLANTE K-FLEX has been present in China since 1998, with a production plant in Guangzhou. Guangzhou is the largest coastal city of South China, the capital of the Guangdong province and, with 10,700,000 inhabitants, is the third largest city in China by population and economic importance. In 2004, the production plant in Wuxi (East China) was completed. Also, in order to better serve the central-west area of the large Asian country, a manufacturing facility was built in Chongqing in 2006.

Almost 10 years after establishing a presence in the Chinese market, L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX decided, in 2007, to make an important strategic decision: to open its largest manufacturing site outside of Italy in China. The new plant is built in Suzhou (Shanghai), one of the most important Chinese cities for economic development. This decision had the participation of the SIMEST Spa (Italian financial development and business promotion abroad, 76% of the company is controlled by the Italian government). The new Suzhou site is a 32,000 squares meters of production space and is fully operational from the beginning of 2009.

Questa scelta, già operata con l’acquisizione al 100% delle attività in America, segna la linea di confine fra una azienda italiana che investe all’estero con partner locali ed una vera multinazionale conscia di potere crescere più velocemente con i propri mezzi.

I materiali isolanti termici prodotti negli stabilimenti cinesi sono destinati al 90% al fabbisogno interno, mentre il restante 10% viene esportato in aree limitrofe.

Sempre nel corso del 2008, in luglio, avviene anche lo start-up dell’impianto produttivo in Malesia a Kuala Lumpur.

The decision to invest in Chinese and Asian markets is exemplary of a new fundamental strategy and turning point for L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX. Not only has K-FLEX constructed new facilities in China, but they also completed a 100% acquisition of the Pan-Chen Overseas Joint-Venture, similar to the full acquisition already made in America. This decision marks the boundary line between an Italian company that invests abroad with local partners and a true multinational company, that is conscious to be able to grow fast according to its own potential.

90% of the thermal insulation materials produced in K-FLEX’s Chinese factories are used to supply the domestic marketplace, while the remaining 10% is exported to neighboring markets.

During the same year, in July, the Company opened another production plant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nel 2008 L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX ha generato a livello di Gruppo un volume d’affari pari a 230 milioni di

euro1, in crescita del 31% rispetto all’anno precedente e in costante aumento dal 2003. La sola casa madre di Roncello ha chiuso il 2008 con un fatturato consolidato pari a circa 185 milioni di euro, di cui 120 milioni relativi al solo stabilimento produttivo italiano. Secondo le proiezioni del volume d’affari e dello sviluppo del mercato nel medio termine, l’azienda si pone l’obiettivo del raggiungimento di quota 400 milioni di euro entro il prossimo quinquennio, senza tenere conto di eventuali acquisizioni.

Il mercato dell’isolamento: visione globale

Parlare di mercato dei materiali isolanti termici significa dover tenere in considerazione moltissime applicazioni, mercati e prodotti fra loro molto differenti. A livello globale, il mercato totale dei prodotti isolanti, termici ed acustici, è quantificabile con un valore, approssimato per difetto, superiore ai 40 miliardi di dollari americani. Questo dato comprende materiali ed applicazioni differenti: dall’edilizia tradizionale (isolamento termico nei muri, solai, isolamento a cappotto, ecc.) al settore industriale (impianti di processo, industria chimica, farmaceutica, ecc.) fino a settori molto specializzati come il settore petrolifero, il settore dei trasporti (navale, ferroviario, catena del freddo). L’isolamento termico riveste grande importanza nel settore del riscaldamento, della ventilazione, del condizionamento, della refrigerazione (c.d. HVAC&R)* e nel settore O.E.M. (Original Equipment Manufacturers) dove i materiali isolanti, termici ed acustici, sono applicati dai produttori di macchine che verranno poi vendute sul mercato pre-isolate termicamente e/o acusticamente.

Infine si deve ricordare che il mercato, tout court, dei prodotti isolanti è in continua crescita da almeno un ventennio. Una crescita a due cifre è giustificata dal fatto che i materiali isolanti termici rappresentano la soluzione più efficace, immediatamente disponibile e meno costosa per affrontare con successo le problematiche di riduzione dei consumi energetici e delle emissioni di gas serra.

The total approximate value of the global insulation market, thermal and acoustical, is more than 40 billion US dollars. This figure includes different materials and applications, ranging from traditional construction sectors (thermal insulation of walls, floors, etc.), the industrial sector (process facilities, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, etc.) and highly specialized sectors such as Oil & Gas and Transport (ship, rail, cold chains). Thermal Insulation is of great importance in the field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVAC&R)* and O.E.M. Numerosissimi sono stati negli ultimi anni gli interventi legislativi nazionali e sovranazionali (Unione Europea, Conferenze intergovernative, G8, ecc.) che hanno, di fatto, imposto l’utilizzo dei materiali isolanti in moltissimi settori. Fra gli ultimi interventi degni di nota ricordiamo la Direttiva Europea 2002/91/CE sul risparmio energetico degli edifici.

Il mercato dell’isolamento: i prodotti K-FLEX

Volendo focalizzare l’analisi del mercato, con riferimento alle tecnologie proprie dei nostri prodotti, si deve fare riferimento al valore totale dei prodotti isolanti elastomerici. Gli isolanti elastomerici, rispetto ad altri materiali isolanti (fibre minerali, poliuretani, polietileni, ecc.), sono prodotti con una tecnologia più recente e, a dispetto di altri prodotti, con un prezzo medio di vendita maggiore, giustificato dalle migliori performance che gli isolanti elastomerici sono in grado di offrire in moltissime situazioni applicative.

In recent years there were numbers of the national legislations and supranational (European Union, Intergovernmental Conferences, G8, etc.) that have imposed the use of insulation materials in many areas. One of the latest is the European Directive 2002/91/EC on the energy savings of buildings.

Products for this segment are sold through a structured distribution network, made up of large distribution companies that specialize in thermal, hydraulics and sanitary products.

This segment includes both the distribution sales network for companies that make thermal insulation materials their core business (commercial) and specific Industrial segments, which consists of the markets for Oil and Petrochemical (Oil & Gas), Rail and Ship Building, Pharmaceutical and other industrial processes.

L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX


Per l’isolamento acustico vengono forniti prodotti e soluzioni volte a migliorare il comfort acustico in ambito civile, industriale, navale e speciali prodotti per il settore O. E. M.

I prodotti de L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX trovano applicazione anche in due settori caratterizzati da necessità tecniche specifiche: il settore delle energie rinnovabili (pannelli solari termici) e il settore della protezione dal fuoco (barriere passive). L’attenzione de L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX per l’ambiente, per una maggiore efficienza energetica e per la protezione delle risorse naturali ha condotto naturalmente l’azienda verso il settore del solare termico. I prodotti K-FLEX trovano applicazione in particolar modo negli impianti solari termici che convertono l’energia solare in acqua calda per uso domestico. I tubi pre-isolati K-FLEX TWIN SOLAR SYSTEM, a secondo delle applicazioni, possono essere in acciaio flessibile o in rame con protezione esterna resistente ai raggi UV e specifici per le alte temperature.

Per la protezione antincendio sono stati progettati materiali che vengono impiegati nella costruzione di barriere passive per attraversamenti tecnici: si tratta di materiali intumescenti ed autoespandenti che chiudono il passaggio al fuoco per evitarne la propagazione in locali attigui. Questo genere di protezione è necessario nei settori dell’edilizia terziaria, ospedaliera e nei luoghi pubblici come cinema e teatri.

Fra gli accessori fondamentali in un impianto di distribuzione delle bevande ci sono le tubazioni che permettono di collegare gli impianti di spillatura con i luoghi nei quali le bevande sono conservate. Per realizzare un sistema di distribuzione efficiente occorre combinare l’utilizzo di specifici tubi adatti ad uso alimentare (PE, EVA, ecc.) con materiali isolanti termici in grado di conservare le bevande al giusto grado di temperatura. Oggi la distanza tra il refrigeratore e il punto di distribuzione può variare da 5 metri a 100 metri e talvolta anche di più. Il ruolo del Python è quello di evitare il riscaldamento di una bevanda nel passaggio dal luogo di conservazione fino al punto di distribuzione.

The products of L’ISOLANTE K-FLEX are also applied in two other sectors with specific technical characteristics: the renewable energy sector (Solar Thermal) and in the field of the Fire Protection (passive barriers).

The special attention K-FLEX pays toward the environment and toward the protection of natural resources led the company to enter into the sector of Solar Thermal Energy. K-FLEX’s products are particularly applied in solar thermal systems that convert solar energy into hot water for domestic use. K-FLEX TWIN SOLAR SYSTEM pre-insulated tubes can be supplied with flexible stainless steel or copper, with external protection resistant to UV rays and high temperatures.

For Fire Protection we have designed materials that are used in the protection of passive barriers and technical crossings. The particular intumescent and auto-expandable characteristics of the materials create a fire barrier that avoids fire propagation (expansion) in adjacent premises.
