This luncheon meeting wos especiollyvoluoble os it offered me the opportu-nity to meet the ottendees in on infor-mol setting to leorn more obout theirlives ond gools-os well os the expe-riences eoch hos hod here ot Horper.l'd like to shore some of their storieswith you.

Winner Debbie Pollet begon her col-lege coreer of o "mego" university.

During her freshmon yeor she con-trocted mononucleosis ond wosunoble to complete her coursework.She received foiling grodes, lost herscholorship, dropped out of schoolond begon working full time. After

severol yeors she reolized thot shewonted to return to school ondenrolled ot Horper. Although she wosofroid, she discovered o supportivestoff, foculty who were interested inteoching-ond on employer whobelieved so shongly in Horper's mis-sion thot the compony ossumed thecosts of her educotion. As she pre-pores to leove the College, she isthonkful for the personol ottention shehos received here ond is groteful thotoll her coursework will tronsfer.

working vorious iobs. Four yeors lotershe enrolled of Horper, hos sincereceived on ossociote degree ond isnow enrolled in the porolegol pro-grom. She is proud of her occomplish-ments ond credits Horper for her suc-cess ond personol growth.

Christine Gorcio, our third-ploce win-ner, entered Horper with no porticulorcoreer gool in mind, but hos beenpleosed with the ossistonce thot shehos received from the counselingstoff. She's been encouroged toexplore mony options, ond hos foUndthot this hos given her the confidenceto try new things ond expond her out-look. She olso feels thot the voriety ofstudents ond the enthusiostic focultyhove mode ottending Horper o posi-tive experience.
