Professor Lew is back from the ACP National Media Convention in DC. ACP is the world’s largest and oldest national membership orga-nization for college student journalists. Bob Woodward, former Washington Post reporter, who broke Watergate episode, was the invit-ed speaker. Here’s both of them together!
Congratulations to Professor Bridges! The cover story she did for Parade magazine was up for a Folio Eddie -- the publishing equiv-alent of the Oscars or Emmys -- on Oct 31st, and she successfully received an honorable mention!

Seven students from the USD Vis-ta and USDTV attended the ACP National Media Convention in DC with Professor Lew. They had so much fun exploring the city and attending the convention!

Volunteer Opportunity! Attention students! This voluteer event would be an amazing op-portunity for anyone to get some great experience in sports indus-try, event management, commu-nications, or hospitality.
Date: Monday, December 5th Time: They vary depending on duties and volunteer’s schedule (6am-5pm or 9am-5pm or a cus-tom schedule that fits with their day)Location: The Crossings at Carls-bad Attire: Golf clothing, comfortable shoes. We will also provide an event t-shirt. NO DENIMDuties:- Golf course set-up/breakdown - Registration Mangement - Red Carpet - Banquet Set-up- Gifting Suite - Autograph Station- Social Media- Media Management
Students will be able to put this volunteer opportunity down on their resume. They will provide you with meals throughout the day, a swag bag at the end of the event and allow for various other opportunities at the event.
