COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT AT ANNUAL INSTITUTE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD In advance of the holiday season, HFMA will hold a community service event to assemble gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is run by Samaritan’s Purse, an International relief organization. Last year alone, OCC supplied 8 million needy children in 130 countries with gift boxes. Please take this opportunity to contribute to this great cause by donating any of the following: - Shoe boxes and wrapping paper : Any standard size shoe box and holiday or generic wrapping paper. - Toys : Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, or any other toy that will fit inside a standard shoe box. - School supplies : Pens, pencils, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books. - Hygiene items : Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap, comb, washcloth, etc. Donations can be dropped off when you check in for HFMA’s Annual Institute. We will assemble the boxes on Thursday, October 6 th !
