Welcome C hristmas is a great time of the year where we celebrate the joy of

the season with the whole community. For some, Christmas is a time for family and winding down from a

long year. For others, it is a festival of lights and food. For some, it is something that brings up sad or hurtful memories.

For Christians, Christmas is celebrating that God loves us so much that he sent his son to live amongst us and to show us what is important. We celebrate that Jesus’ coming has changed the world and can also change our lives. We celebrate that God is good to us, God embraces us and that God is for us.

While some may not share our view, it is for this reason that we are filled with joy. Whatever the reason you celebrate this Christmas, may you know that you are loved, that God loves you and wants you to know him.

May your celebrations be filled with wonder and hope that all people can live in peace and experience the joy of being in community.

Away In A Manger

A way in a manger, no crib for a bed.

The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay,

The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.

I love you Lord Jesus; look down from the sky and stay by my side until morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask you to stay Close by me forever, and love me, I pray.

Bless all the dear children in your tender care, And fit us for heaven, to live with you there.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
