JP TOTEN, Jack Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2011 in the K Wing of Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 93. Beloved father of Kenneth (Teresa) and Janet Price (Bill), he loved and cherished to his dying day his late wife, Mary, to whom he was married for 61 years until her passing in 2004. He will be greatly mourned by his grandchildren, Blair, Sasha, Megan, Nikki and Heather and fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces and a legion of truly devoted friends. Son of Alfred and Mabel Toten of London, Ontario, he was pre-deceased by brothers, Ken, Frank and Lawrence and by his sister, Winifred. Jack was proud to have enjoyed a 50-year career at the Bank of Montreal, culminating with 20 years as the Chief Economist but was equally fond of saying that he never lost an inch of London, Ont during his six years as a Paymaster Sergeant in Second World War. He was a keen lawn bowler and curler until earlier this year and an avid bridge player and active member in the Probus Club and Toronto Adventurers’ Club until the very end. He will be missed by all who knew him. Many thanks are sent to the wonderful staff at Sunnybrook who made his last days so comfortable. The family will receive friends at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, October 19. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jack will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville.
