SUPPORTING ELMDON PARK, SOLIHULL HOSPITAL AND MORE

Thanks for reading.

Jaguar Land Rover Solihull Corporate Affairs

The facility will deliver technological improvements including logistics, in-plant operations, connectivity and automation.

Construction will be managed by Prologis UK, a Solihull-based property company and delivered by Winvic, both of whom share Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to sustainability and responsibility.

Prologis is committed to maximising the economic, environmental and social benefits that the LOC development will bring to our local community and beyond. It was the first property company in the UK to require its suppliers to sign-up to its ‘social value charter’, which commits them to training apprentices and employing the long-term unemployed, sourcing materials locally and improving green spaces in the local community.

Winvic has worked successfully with Prologis for 18 years and will be working to its supply chain ‘social value charter’.

As a Partner of the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), Winvic adheres to a five point code of considerate practice and is committed to working in a respectful way, not only being mindful of its workforce, but also the public and the environment. Winvic consistently achieves above average CCS scores and wins awards for best practice.

KEEPING YOU INFORMED ONLINE AND OFF

It’s important to us that you can easily access information and news about the LOC throughout the construction period, and so we’re working with Prologis and Winvic to ensure that happens.

On a day to day basis your contact for information about the work – including general construction queries will be the site manager.

We’ve created a dedicated website at www.prologisloc.co.uk that includes information about the project, local news and contacts, and more about our commitment to sustainability and social value.

ADDING SOCIAL VALUE

As part of the LOC development, and in addition to the projects Jaguar Land Rover support in our local community, Prologis and JLR will work with education specialists from The Eden Project; funding education officers from The Eden Project to deliver workshops in local schools and talk to children about the environment and sustainability.

MEETING ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Like JLR, Prologis is committed to minimising its environmental impact and every new building developed by Prologis has its environmental sustainability attributes officially certified by The Planet Mark.

Prologis, working in partnership with JLR, will also mitigate the whole lifetime carbon in the LOC building. As part of this initiative, the LOC building will help preserve 1,425 acres of rainforest with the Awajún in Northern Peru supporting local people to defend their ancestral forest and safeguard many species of plant and animal.

LOCAL COMMUNIT Y DROP IN

Our next Community Drop In is on Tuesday 7th January 2020 between 4-6pm at the Jaguar Land Rover plant on Lode Lane.

Jaguar Land Rover together with Prologis and Winvic representatives will be in attendance to provide you with information about the development, share with you our plans to keep you informed and answer any queries you may have.

If you’re planning on attending please email [email protected] and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
