Community engagement and professional training lectures.

The committee organized numerous lectures on health issues with the support of faculty

members. This was in accordance with COCPs’ vision and mission in community engagement

and professional training.

1-3-1- lecture entitled “Osteoporosis”

Dr. Sherif Wagih delivered a lecture entitled “Osteoporosis" in workshop organized by

health club, King Faisal University in coordination with the Students Affairs Deanship. This

was held on December 25, 2012.

1-3-2- lecture entitled “Medical Terminology”

Dr. Mohamed Morsy delivered a lecture entitled "Medical Terminology" in workshop

organized by Administration of training, research and continuous education, King Fahd

Hospital, Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. This was held on December 5, 2012.

1-3-3- lecture entitled “the effects of psychiatric drugs on neurotransmitters”

Dr. Mohammad Zaitoun delivered a lecture entitled "the effects of psychiatric drugs on

neurotransmitters" in the "psychiatric drugs" workshop organized by the Psychiatric Hospital

in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Care department of health affairs directorate-ahsa.

This was held on the period of 2-4/3/1434 H.

1-3-4- lecture entitled “Medical Rumors”

Dr. Nashwa Zaher delivered a lecture entitled “Medical Rumors" in workshop organized by

health club, King Faisal University in coordination with the Students Affairs Deanship. This

management”

Dr. Nashwa Zaher delivered a lecture entitled “Breast cancer; Protection, Early detection

and management" in workshop organized by Committee of Scientific Meetings, female

section, King Faisal University. This was held on 20/3/2012 in Hall 3061,building (27).

1-3-6- lecture entitled “Total Parenteral Nutrition”

Dr. Maamon Abu Jaber delivered a lecture entitled “Total Parenteral Nutrition” in

workshop organized by Administration of Training, research and continuous education, King

Fahd Hospital, Al-Ahsa. This was held on 1/5/2013.

1-3-7- lecture entitled “Program Learning Outcomes”

Dr. Nashwa Zaher delivered a lecture entitled “Program Learning Outcomes” in workshop

organized by COCP, which was held on Wednesday 8/5/2013 at 12.00 pm. The lecture focused

on how to write Program LOs and the difference between modules LOS.

1-3-8- lecture entitled “Orientation Lecture on Student Research”

Dr. Arshia Shariff delivered a lecture entitled “Orientation Lecture on Student Research” in

workshop organized by COCP. This was held on Tuesday 30/4/2013 at 12.00 pm. This lecture

was delivered with an aim to introduce students to the goals and objectives of the committees

and also to motivate them towards starting research at an early stage of student life.
