From the Desk of Kevin FahertyDear Reps,

I want to wish you all a very happy New Year. I think that 2013 will be an outstanding year for our CAP card program.

Although there is no question that there is increased competition and that we have to work a little harder to continue our growth, as Knute Rockne once said “when the going gets tough, the tough get going”.

We have the best perks, the best training, and the most reliable payment system in the industry. This leads me to believe that we should be able to win any head-to-head face off with the newbies.

Let’s remember that there are over 59 million uninsured people in this country and a myriad of underinsured that can use our product. As best as we can determine, we are servicing approximately 1 million of them. This leaves a lot of potential people for us to reach and the person that thinks of some new ways to reach this uninsured and underinsured market is the one that will reap the rewards.

Happy New Year to all our Reps!

Congratulations on another wonderful year at NBBI. You have made our growth phenomenal, and have substantially increased the number of cardholders you have helped with your card discounts. I was especially gratifi ed to

see how many new Reps took off and fl ew this year, as opposed to just fl apping their wings and not getting off the ground. More new Reps made it to their fi rst 300 scripts faster than in any other year. Thanks to the Program Advisors who were in constant touch with their teams, and to the Sponsors who stepped up to the plate and actively managed their downline.

I have some challenges for you in 2013. Here’s what I want you to do:

Get on more conference calls, both your national and your team calls. Both of these calls afford you an opportunity to win free RX cards, but more importantly, they keep you up to date with what is going on with your business. Do you know there were Reps who were upset because they didn’t know about the 50% card match that NBBI offered last year? I announced it on the national call, and your Program Advisors announced it on their team calls. If you had bought a Dunkin Donuts franchised store, and the corporate offi ce franchisor called a business meeting, you would be there. This is exactly the same thing. We keep you advised of the latest news, contests, promotions, freebies, matching card offers, upcoming obstacles to overcome and how to do it, along with much more, on our conference calls.

Think of more “out-of-the-box” places to call on, where you can leave cards. Start focusing on more organizations that help people, but are not necessarily clinics. Homeless shelters, Salvation Army type places, YMCAs, etc. Be more innovative in your approach this year, and go where our competition has not been. Come up with new ideas for card distribution.

Editor’s CornerBy Linda Grinthal

Vow to follow-up more often on your current accounts. Block the time off on your calendar and do not neglect this incredibly important step. Keep your accounts as YOUR accounts. Be sure they know your name. Send them a magnet or something they can post with YOUR contact info on it. Bring them a box of peppermint candies. Customer retention rules!

Remember the 2 ways you get your script counts up:

1. Get new accounts using your cards.

2. Get your existing accounts to use MORE of your cards.

You must pay attention to BOTH of these.

And the winner of the ideas contest is Dan Padgug, for his idea submission that we begin a program of awarding free cards to new Reps as they reach various script levels. As you know, this idea was implemented recently, and Dan will be awarded the $500.00 gift card. We thank you, Danny, and the new Reps sure thank you as well. This will be an excellent incentive for them to get out of the gate running, rather than easing into the program. We appreciate all the ideas that came in and will respond to you to let you know if we will be implementing any others. Many excellent suggestions came in and we will share some of them on one of the national calls.

This year, I will be visiting more of you individually or in very small groups and we will work on whatever you feel will help you most, fi eld work, telemarketing, and direct mail techniques, etc. This is what I enjoy the most about my job; meeting with you, getting to know you better, and helping you personally to grow your business. I look forward to this very much this year!

All the best in 2013,

Linda Grinthal, VP Marketing/National Sales Manager

Become More Successful

Hi Reps,

We at National Benefi t Builders, Inc. (NBBI) and the Community Assistance Program (CAP) are starting the New Year with the thought of how we can help our national Reps be more productive and profi table.

We have many programs in place to do that, such as:1. Brochure of the Month Club2. Book of the Quarter Club3. Custom branded cards for your different organizations4. Quarterly cookie appreciation for organizations5. Cards in over 30 languages and “How to Use Brochures” in

many of these languages6. An improved ordering site with our printer DAS for cards and

marketing materials7. Improved back offi ce (.info site)8. A new cardholder site coming around March (.org site)9. Leaders Conference in October in Las Vegas

Plus, there are many other projects that will be announced during the year, all designed to help you, the rep.

I am concerned that with all this effort that we as a company do for our Reps, how few Reps actually take advantage of these great opportunities. When we come out with a new project, it was discussed and well thought out both internally and with Reps throughout the country. So we are confi dent that it will help our Reps become more successful. So let’s all start taking advantage of these great projects and programs that are designed to help you increase your script counts.

As always, I am here to help or answer any of your questions.

Let’s have a great 2013.

Michael Attardo, VP Administration

The fi rst order of plaques will go out mid-January.

Wow! We wanted to give new Reps additional incentive to get out of the gate running fast, so as of November 1, 2012, any new Rep that reaches:

• 100 scripts within their fi rst 3 months, will receive 5,000 free cards.

• 250 scripts within their fi rst 3 months will receive 10,000 free cards.

Good luck!

On your mark, get ready, get set…

Will you be at the next Leaders Conference in October 2013?

Will you be the recipient of an all-expense paid trip to sunny, exciting Las Vegas? How you ask?

Book Club (Quarterly - January, April, July & October)

Greetings from the Padgug team. First and foremost, from our team to yours, we’d like to wish everyone a tremendous 2013. “Success” of course is an individually defi ned term, but whatever it is for you, may it become your reality. As I like to say, may 2013 be a year that 2012 is jealous of, and 2014 hopes to attain.

As the new year starts and you focus on what it will take to grow your business, please be aware of not only the areas you need to change, but also those activities you currently are involved with that have worked well for you. Just because the calendar reads differently, does not mean success will come your way unless you do both of the above. I love the expression which defi nes insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!” That is so true. Hopefully 2013 will be the year that you vow to learn what works and what doesn’t for you.

How would you like to start the New Year off with 180 FREE marketing materials? As most of you are probably aware, we have made some recent changes to the Brochure Club. In order to make this tool better suited to your particular needs, we now allow YOU to choose which materials you’d like us to send you.

This is a bi-annual event. All you have to do is submit the form twice a year! Be on the lookout for an i-Contact email advising you that the forms are due. In addition, Linda and your Program Advisors will give you a heads up on the National and Team conference calls. The form can be found in your back offi ce under “announcements”.

Complete the form, and send it to my attention, and we will send you 180 copies of customized marketing materials. You can choose to receive:

• 180 copies of one fl yer or• 15 copies each of up to twelve different fl yers.or• A combination in between 1-12 fl yers (eg 60 copies of 3 fl yers)If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at 888-311-6224 x109. Best of luck to you in 2013!

A good way to start is not only fi guring out where you want to be next year at this time, but what road will you take to get there. Like any journey, you have to fi gure out:

1. Where you want to go?

2. Why you want to go there?

3. How will the journey be accomplished?

4. What you will do once you get there?

If you haven’t already, invest some quality time to answer the above, for not only your CAP journey, but this experience we call “life,” and you’ll be amazed what results come your way. No matter where the compass may take you, here’s hoping that you learn that the real pleasure does not come from getting where you want to go, but in the steps it took to get there. May your trip be fi lled with joy, and one that you’ll look back upon fondly.

Frank’s Tips and Trends

It’s the beginning of a new and exciting year for the NBBI/CAP Program. I know many of you worked tirelessly in 2012 to bring a 30% increase in our business year, considering the competitive nature of the drug discount card industry. I want to thank all of you who are part of Team Maiorca for your hard work,

contributions and support, as well as the entire fi eld of Reps that made this possible. I am very proud of you. As you probably know, we’ve barely begun to scratch the surface affecting only 1% of the uninsured and undocumented population of $49MM people in the U.S. What will it mean to you and your families, together with those people who desperately need our vital card program, when we reach 3% of our target market? Just think of the exciting possibilities that lie ahead of us in 2013!

This brings me to the topic of competition in our business, something we need to recognize, embrace and effectively overcome as independent Reps. There is competition in every business, whether it is real estate, insurance or the CAP drug discount card business. So what is it that separates us from the rest of the pack? There are several important points you need to know:

1. NBBI holds the highest rating from the Better Business Bureau, our competitors do not.

2. Our card program is effective where our competitor cards are not. We have saved the public nationwide over $300,000,000.

3. Our card program provides the largest savings on prescriptions. We are the Cadillac of discount card programs!

By Frank Maiorca

4. We were recently purchased by Catamaran, one of the largest PBMs in the country. $.20 cents of every dollar spent at pharmacies comes from our new PBM!

5. We provide value to our customers (urgent care centers, social service agencies, physicians’ groups, etc.) in developing long-term relationships through follow-up and card replenishment. Our competitors do not.

NBBI/CAP provides 3 important client programs to the fi eld force of Reps:

The fi rst two are the Quarterly Client Appreciation Program and Quarterly Plaque Program in recognition of the service our client accounts provide in helping their patients and the community in saving money on their prescriptions. The third is the private labeling (branding) of cards for your client or organization.

Everyone who is serious about building a successful business and helping others should be participating and implementing these critical programs. These important programs will make it easy for you to drive away the competition.

This is my wish for you in 2013: peace of mind, prosperity through the year, happiness that multiplies, health for you and yours, fun around every corner, energy to chase your dreams, joy to fi ll the whole year!

Remember, we are in a truly unique business. The more we can help people in need, the more we can help ourselves and our families.

Yours in Succe$$

New Connection

Happy New Year to all the wonderful CAP Reps across the country! What is it about a New Year or a New Beginning that appeals to so many? Is it the mindset that we can put behind us our failures of the past and bury them; or, the anticipation of possibilities that lie within us for the coming year? Whatever fascinates

you about “NEW”, utilize the momentum to begin this year with a “BANG!”

Speaking of new, I was reminded the other day of many new connections that were made last year with my CAP business. As I began to ponder some of the best contacts I had made, one particular connection stood out amongst them all.

One of my accounts recommended I visit the local Homeless Coalition to see if they thought our CAP Rx Cards would be benefi cial to those they served. Thankfully, their welcome was warm and

By Keith Wood

inviting! They have a “Connect Day” every quarter where they serve the homeless of our county with free clothes, meals, legal advice, haircuts, and many other great services. The Homeless Coalition is always looking for volunteers to help in any capacity. This posed to be an excellent opportunity to give back to the community. Several friendships and acquaintances have begun and continue to grow as a result of this new account. Little did I know this ONE, NEW connection was going to lead to more than ten distribution points that have given out more than 35,000 cards to date! You never know what that NEW connection could mean to your community AND to your CAP Business. Continue to cultivate your current relationships and always look for NEW ways to further your CAP Card Business.

Best Regards,

Keith Wood

5 Tips To Increase Work/Sales Productivity 1. Declutter Your Work Space - A clear work space makes for

a clear head space. If you spend 5 minutes per day tidying up your desk, you’ll be less likely to lose or forget important action items. If you have an overabundance of knickknacks and unfi led papers, the resulting chaos could affect your work performance. Follow the KISS plan at your desk – Keep It Simple Silly.

2. Prioritize Your Goals Each Morning - At the beginning of your workday, take a few minutes to prioritize. Most people fi nd that task lists help them stay on track. This is a simple solution and provides you with structure and routine. Make a Top 5 List – this will be the top 5 tasks you must accomplish – put the most diffi cult one at the top! Why, because that’s the one you’ve probably been avoiding doing. Once you get the most diffi cult task done, you will feel great and the rest will be a breeze! Always put the last unfi nished task of the day at the top of your list the next day!

3. Resolve Problems Promptly - Once you identify a problem, track and resolve it as soon as you can. If you ignore problems,

they can grow and create additional stress.

4. Organize Everything - The necessity of being organized doesn’t stop at your workspace. Your desk drawers, fi les, e-mail inbox, client information and digital fi les all require maintenance and organization. Set reminders for yourself to organize these work tools as often as necessary.

5. Manage Your Time and Team Effi ciently – Communication is key. Set a time and date to speak to your team, answer questions, train, inspire or just check in to say hello. Communication - the human connection - is the key to personal and career success.

Summary: Good habits take about a month to properly develop. Therefore, you can help yourself remember these tips by printing and posting this message where you can see it every day.

Get in the habit of checking your new cards for accuracy as soon as they arrive! Make sure your ID # and contact information is correct!

Success

Happy New Year my fellow CAP Reps! The year 2013 is more exciting compared to the previous year since we have seen that our 2012 growth momentum has been registering double digits month after month. I feel and foresee that the majority of our Reps will grow beyond their best months and rake in crazy income in 2013.

However, we are barely scratching the surface of this opportunity. According to one lead generation company, they do have more than 3.5 million medical providers on their list. You may ask yourself how many providers or accounts do you have? It is a number’s game. The more providers or accounts that give out your cards, the better for your script counts; don’t you

think so?

Here are some of my recommendations:

1. Identify how much income you expect from your CAP business in 2013.

2. Divide your forecasted income by the value of each script and you will arrive at how many scripts you need.

3. Divide the scripts you need according to the following success ratio (based on your tenure and experience with the cards).

4. Divide your number of cards by the number of months you plan to give them out.

Here is an example of my recommendation:

By Paul Dantes

Target Income $ 5,000

Target Scripts 6,667

2% success ratio 333,333 cards that have to be distributed

3% success ratio 222,222 cards that have to be distributed

4% success ratio 166,667 cards that have to be distributed

5% success ratio 133,333 cards that have to be distributed

Success ratio is defi ned as the number of cards to be used in targeted accounts after the rep leaves the card, after the doctor’s offi ce gives it to the patient, after the patient goes to the pharmacy and shows the card and fi nally, after the pharmacy places the discount in the computer with your rep number.

The percentage may apply to the following:

1. > 5% SR to tenured Reps (consistently gives out the cards, has done it for more than 2 years)

2. 3% to 4% SR to Reps (consistently gives out the cards and has done for more than 6 months to 2 years)

3. 2% SR to Reps (new, consistently gives out the cards, with 0 to 6 months)

Another major variable to our success will be the speed to distribute the cards. Let’s take the case of 5% SR Rep, where the 133,333 cards can be easily given out in 1 month because they have multitudes of accounts; whereas, the 2% SR Rep may need more help, time and resources to distribute 333,333 cards due also to experience and knowledge. No wonder the top Reps of CAP can earn double digit incomes on a monthly basis; because they have multitudes of accounts. For the new Reps, do not be dismayed, for there are 3.5 million providers out there. You just need to be more persistent, creative and maintain a positive attitude. In addition, your Program Advisor is here to help. You just have to reach out too.

PS. To have my recommendation in an excel spreadsheet, you may email me at [email protected].

””

Good Morning everyone,Aft er seeing this email I wanted to let you all know something. Aft er Keith came to the SS Network meeti ng and gave the info on the cards and their usage, my boyfriend needed a very expensive prescripti on that his insurance was not covering. I thought that it couldn’t hurt to try this card. Well it did work; it saved him about $100 on the prescripti on. But be aware that the discount varies according to the pharmacy, as he said. Go to the web-site and have it search for the prices at the area pharmacies. For the script we were fi lling, Walgreens was $100 higher than the other pharmacies in this area. CVS was about $80 lower and then a few other pharmacies came down about $100! It is worth the ti me do a litt le research before you fi ll a prescripti on that IS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE. - Denise F.””

I just wanted to let you know that I had to get two prescripti ons yesterday. One was for $30.00 and one was for generic Topromax which was $113.00. My bill came to $143.00. I gave the cashier my card and she assured me that I had got the Rite Aide discount which was the best price available. I asked her to please just try my card. About 10 minutes later she came back to me with kind of a shocked look on her face and said well, with you card your total is $41.00. I said for the Topromax, she said no, for both prescripti ons combined. This card saved me $103.00. I came across it at my local Doctors offi ce and I thank God I found it. My husband and I are small business owners and cannot aff ord insurance. I wish more people knew about this, this card is a life saver for any person who does not have insurance. I cannot thank you enough. Please feel free to post this to your website and can I please get 10 more cards so I can keep them in my purse so that I can give them to anyone who does not have insurance. Your company is a Godsend. Thank you a million ti mes over. - Christi ne S.

I went to my local clinic a few months back and they handed me your prescripti on card and I put it in wallet since I didn’t need to fi ll any meds at the ti me. I recently came down with shingles and needed an anti -viral to treat it and discovered that it was $270 for the medicati on. I remembered that I had your card in my wallet and when I used it to fi ll my prescripti on, the pharmacy charged me only $60! I told my mom about it and she did not believe me but when she tried it with some of her meds she takes monthly she was shocked that it saves her over $60 per month! Thank you for this incredible card! - Michael J.

Oh my goodness! My mother is visiti ng from Kansas. I went to get her this weekend knowing she was not well. I took her to my doctor today who prescribed medicati on that cost $180. I told her about the discount card you gave me and she used it. The medicati on cost her only $40. Amazing! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your thoughtf ulness toward others. May your good deeds return to you seven fold. - Marva

Danny L, who is an LPN in a Pain Management Clinic in Tupelo, MS, fell while hiking & broke his hip. Not an older person, in his late 30’s, Danny had a long convalescence. His employer does not off er drug coverage in their health plan, so Danny used one of my cards for his meds. He said this litt le Free Card saved him over $500, an average of 40% on all his medicati ons! He thanked me for the card, and says he shares my cards with clinic pati ents and friends. Danny says he tells each one the story of his own savings with my card. - Barb S.

Last week I gave lady cards for herself and husband. She asked if she could please have some for her church, which I was happy to supply. Guess what? I just received a call from her friend Melvina. Melvina said the cards were given to the church secretary who was passing them out and she was nearly run over trying to obtain one. She never got one and just had the phone number to call me to see if more were available, so she could get more for the church and herself. Maybe she wouldn’t get injured this ti me to get a card, and thanked me over and over again. What a job. Never had one like this before. - Pat

Thank you so much for sending the additi onal cards. I have passed them out to several people already and they are currently saving money and are thrilled. Most of the people who I gave these to are like myself and are self-employed. They could not comprehend that this would work for them. When I showed them the website, checked their prescripti on and explained that they did not have to qualify, they were in disbelief. Thank you once again on behalf of all of us small business owners. Your company is a GODSEND. Please let me know how I can become affi liated with your company. I used to be an Account Executi ve with FedEx and would love to be on your team.Regards,Christi ne S.

Inspiration To Go

Hello friends,

Wow, what an exciting year of growth for you and the Community Assistance Program! The savings to our cardholders jumped from $200 million to $325 million in 2013. That’s a 63% increase over 2012. Amazing.

This year we would like to reach an even greater number of people. Consider that 49.9 million Americans are still uninsured - we were able to reach 1% of those folks. This leaves a huge amount of people still in need of our help. And you don’t have to wait. The fi elds are white unto harvest and the harvest truly is plenteous.

Are there other programs? Yes. But they aren’t like CAP - they don’t have you. You are the best trained and the best incentivized Reps out there. We at the Community Assistance Program are constantly looking for ways to improve and grow. But we are only half of the team – you are the other half. It’s a new year – you did not sign up to fail did you? We believe in you. Let’s get it done this year.

Happy New Year,

Diane

No Stone Unturned

Leave NO stone unturned - because you will never know the answer if you do not ask the question. Do not be afraid to take advantage of the resources you’ve been given. It’s the beginning of a brand new year - Success is at the tip of your fi ngers. Do not be afraid to dream and DREAM BIG!

Each of us has A LOT to be thankful for - 2012 was a tremendous year for us as Reps and for the entire NBBI family. Together as a group, we touched a lot of lives by sharing our wonderful program with our communities and that is something we each should be very proud of. Let’s each make a promise to reach out to even more people in 2013. Each of us have been given the opportunity of a lifetime, so let’s be sure to take advantage of the resources, training, and more that our WONDERFUL leaders, Kevin, Barry and Ray have made available to us - and the continued support of Linda as our ever so wonderful mentor and MORE. Our awesome offi ce staff is always there to make our jobs a little easier and for that - WE THANK YOU!

NOW is the time to make that commitment to yourself to take your business to the next level. Do not hesitate to ask for help from your sponsor or PA. I encourage each of you to step up and get involved! Know your market - place your cards into the hands of the people who need them the most, think outside the box. It’s not too late - been sitting on the fence? Jump start your business over today. We each have the same opportunity - all you have to do is reach for the stars, make the commitment and BE CONSISTANT with card distribution (and throw in a little patience) - YES, it’s really that simple!

So, with that being said, I want to say how thankful I am to be a part of such a wonderful group of people. So many of you have touched my life in many different ways. I wish each of you a healthy, happy and VERY prosperous 2013 - and beyond. May your lives be blessed beyond measure.
