On Saturday 18th May, 9.30am - 12 noon, Kingsway Residents Group, local church groups and the City Council will be putting on a free BBQ event and other activities (see map on back page).

There will be free food available at a barbeque plus you’ll be able to meet and chat with neighbours, Council staff and others about improvements for the area.

Get rid of your unwanted rubbish in skips located in the Kingsway car park* during the morning. Volunteers will help you remove rubbish and can also help repair a fence; cut back those shrubs,

put up shelves and more. Remember: If you don’t ask, you don’t get!

Please get in touch and let us know what you need. We’ll try to provide the people to help – we may be in touch beforehand, to see exactly what’s required to make it happen.

You can also pass-on unwanted clothing, furniture, books and other household items, or pick up something for free at the Take It Or Leave It stall.

Take part in the Veggies On The Veranda project - helping you to grow your own vegetables right outside your flat.

Find out what your green bin waste becomes and

make a recycled plant pot with the Recycling Champions.

Kids can take part in activities with the Fire Service, see the Fire Engines and enter a competition. You’ll also be able to chat to your Housing Officer, City Ranger, Recycling Officer and Local Policing Team.

If you have things you’d like help with or wish to give us a hand, please get in touch:

David [email protected] / 07986 409187

Whether you can make the event or not, we’d like to hear from you - fill out the survey on the right and put it in a postbox, no stamp needed or hand the survey in at the event - closing Date, 24th May.

*note - Kingsway car park will be closed to allow for the skips between Fri 17th, 5.30pm and Saturday 18th, 2.30pm
