The CWP Steering Committee convened on Monday 28 September in
Brisbane for its Annual Meeting. This meeting forms a crucial part of the
CWP’s activities,as it allows the committee to reflect on its progress over
the past year and to formulate its aims for the year ahead. The Committee also revised its key advocacy areas of focus for the next year, which will
be included in the 2015/16 Action Agenda, once published.

CWP Steering Committee Annual Planning Meeting
The CWP Australia website- www.cwpaustralia.com
recently celebrated six months since its launch in March
2015. The website showcases research conducted
by the CWP Secretariat on the number of women in
each of Australia’s State and Territory parliaments,
including an analysis in the shift of representation that
occurred in NSW, VIC and QLD following their respective
elections. It also includes links to relevant women’s
organisations and information on the Steering Committee.
Interest in the website was high around the CWP Conference
and we ask your help in maintaining this level of activity.
We want the website to become the primary source for
schools, universities and individuals interested in women’s
representation in Australian politics and ask that you assist
us in achieving this goal. Mentions in Hansard, publications
and at events will all work to raise the profile of the website-
and the work of the CWP.
