THE YOUNG WINEMAKERS.
EACH OF US HAS BROUGHT A CLUSTER OF GRAPES.WE HAVE A HARD JOB: TO TURN GRAPES INTO WINE
FIRST WE SEPARATE THE BERRIES FROM THE STEMS.
WE BEGIN TO PRESS THE GRAPES WITH OUR HANDS
OUR HANDS ARE ALL STICKY AND SMELL LIKE GRAPE JUICE. WE ARE HAVING FUN!!!!
THE PRESSED JUICE IS VIOLET, DARK, HOT, STICKY. WE TASTED: IT’S SWEET AND JUICY. THE SCENT IS PLEASANT.
WE PUT THE JUICE, SKINS AND PIPS IN A TRANSPARENT POT….
…. AND LET'S WAIT A FEW DAYS
AFTER 4 DAYS
TODAY IN CLASS WE HAVE FOUND A VERY STRONG SMELL.
THE SKINS AND SEEDS ROSE ALL UP. THE LIQUID IS ALWAYS PURPLE AND TURBID; ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POT IT IS DEPOSITED A DENSER MATERIAL: THE SCUM
WE SEPARATE THE JUICE FROM THE SKINS SQUEEZING WELL WITH OUR HANDS…
…HOW BEAUTIFUL !!! IT IS GREAT
IN THE POT THERE IS
NOW ONLY A TURBID AND SOUR
JUICE
AFTER 13 DAYS… THE MUST
THIRTEEN DAYS HAVE PASSED SINCE WE MADE THE HARVEST. IN CLASS THERE IS A STRONG SMELL OF WINE SEEMS TO BE IN THE CELLAR.
DURING THESE DAYS WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY BUBBLES RISE TO THE SURFACE AND FORMED A LAYER OF WHITE FOAM. WHILE THE BOTTOM OF THE POT THERE IS ALSO GROWING A LAYER OF SCUM.
THE TEACHER WITH THE STRAINER AND FUNNEL POURED THE JUICE IN A BOTTLE.IN THIS PERIOD WILL CONTINUE FERMENTATION AND SOME MICROORGANISMS CALLED SACCHAROMYCES CONVERT SUGAR INTO ALCOHOL.THE FERMENTATION WILL LAST A FEW MORE DAYS, BECAUSE AS THE SAYING GOES:
"A SAN MARTINO OGNI MOSTO DIVENTA VINO."
HERE IS THE LABEL THAT WE CREATED FOR OUR BOTTLES OF WINE.THE NAME FOR THE WINE WE CHOSE AFTER A DEMOCRATIC VOTE AMONG THREE NAMES WE HAD THOUGHT:RODARCINCIN, UVINOTTO, UBRIACHIN

PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA
INGREDIENTS1 READY-MADE PIZZA BASE
TOMATO SAUCE 1 TABLESPOON OF OLIVE OIL 1 ONION (CHOPPED) 400g TIN OF CHOPPED TOMATOES MIXED HERBS SALT AND BLACK PEPPER TOPPINGS GRATED CHEESE MUSHROOMS (SLICED) BLACK OLIVES
PEEL AND CHOP THE ONION
SLICE THE MUSHROOMS
HEAT THE OLIVE OIL A FRYING PAN. ADD THE CHOPPED ONION WITH SOME SALT
AND PEPPER AND FRY GENTLY.
ADD THE TOMATOES, HERBS, SALT AND PEPPER AND MIX IT ALL TOGETHER.
POUR THE TOMATO MIXTURE INTO A SAUCEPAN AND COOK IT FOR 10 MINUTES. IT MUSTN’T BOIL.
SPREAD THE SAUCE OVER THE PIZZA BASE.
SPRINKLE WITH THE GRATED CHEESE, MUSHROOMS AND OLIVES.
HEAT THE OVEN TO 230°C. PUT THE PIZZA IN THE OVEN AND BAKE FOR
15-20 MINUTES.
OR WOOD OVEN
WHEN IT IS READY AND THE CHEESE HAS MELTED, SERVE IMMEDIATELY.
