Main Objectives

1. Improve the food consumption and dietary diversity ofInternally Displaced People (IDPs), returnees, and the mostvulnerable victims and Colombians affected by the conflict;

2. Rebuild the livelihoods of IDPs and returnees, with a focuson community resilience and the empowerment of womenand ethnic groups.

Innovative Aspects of the PRRO 200708

1. Collaboration with the Government at national and locallevels to strengthen humanitarian assistance.

2. WFP assistance primarily through the distribution ofconditional vouchers.

3. Vouchers support the sustainability and efficiency ofgovernment social protection programmes.

4. WFP local purchases are linked to WFP and Governmentassistance programmes.

5. Promotion: i)women’s empowerment, and ii)capacitystrengthening of partners and local government entities.
