• Entire staff team trained; S/Dev Day 09-10

• Robust procedures in place

• Tutorial info, Intranet info , Publicity and dissemination (quick summary list on back of College ID cards).

• But e-Safety is wider than just safeguarding….

- event using online media (an ‘E-Solution’, Web 2, Facebook, user-generated, accessible )

Student E-Mentors created a promotional video, and interviewed and discussed e-safety with students attending the event on the day

E-Safety Day: Outcomes• No clear measure of impact yet available

• Students and staff are eager for information (enabling as well as restrictive)

• Not all young students are sophisticated ‘digital natives’: often need basic help and support

• Online media has benefits, but physically located and supervised events still engage more.
