AMA Hymn and will also discuss about the different forms being used like the Exam

matrix, Teacher Evaluation Inventory form, equivalency forms regarding the old and

new course code, and all other forms. Also, students will be taught of the general

concepts and principles on values formation, attitudes and personality development. It

will encourage the students to participate in classroom discussion for them to better

understand the good manner and right conduct. Understanding the concepts the

students will fully realize the right behavior on how they could be able to communicate

The course deals with the study of number systems and codes, Boolean and

switching algebra, gate network analysis and synthesis and realization of logical circuits

using integrated circuits. The subject introduces the student with the concept of digital

design and digital circuits. The subject is also known by other names such as logic

design, digital logic, switching circuits and digital systems. Digital circuits are employed

in the design of systems such as control systems, digital computers, data

communications and many other applications that require electronic digital hardware.

The course introduces the students to physical fundamentals of electricity and

pneumatics, function and use of electro-pneumatic devices, display of motion

sequences and switch states, set-up controls with relays, electrical self-latching

switches, application of magnetic proximity switch, application of pressure switch,

designing of electro-pneumatic system and troubleshooting simple electro-pneumatic

controls.

MECHA 3D Hydraulics Control and Design

The course covers the basic of power generation and transmission of hydraulic

fluids including its types and properties. It also discusses the fundamentals and

physical properties of hydraulics and electrical technology and their combination in

controls. It introduces the function, design and use of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic

components. It serves as a foundation course of PLC controls.



MECHA 4D Power Electronics, Motion Control and

Sensorics

The course covers the functions, technical characteristics and applications of the

different sensors in the automation industry.

MATH 08 Numerical Methods and Analysis

This course covers the topics on introductory to the numerical analysis. Prior to

the conventional numerical methods, the course tackles the binomial theorems, power

series and approximations and errors. Then it will be followed by numerical solutions of

nonlinear equations, numerical solutions of linear system, interpolations and curve

fittings, numerical differentiations and integrations.

This course deals with the trends in modern industrial enterprises; types of

business organizations; plant locations, plant layout, selection of physical facilities,

production control, building internal organization, personnel management, wage system

and incentive plans.

MECHA 5D Electro-hydraulics Control and Design

The course deals with the study of forces and movements transmitted by means

of hydraulic liquid with integration of electrical technologies.



MECHA 6D Basic Programmable Logic Controller

This course deals with programming, connecting, and testing Programmable

Logic Controllers (PLCs) for control of industrial/commercial processes. Also, it covers

interfacing with sensors, application of PLCs into a variety of process applications,

utilization of a hand-held programmer in troubleshooting PLCs. A hand-on design

project is designed for the students to understand the typical PLC implementation

process in industry.



MECHA 7D Robotics Technology 3 2 4

This course covers topics on robotics technology system, types, structure and

operation of industrial robots. Robot performance, workspace, velocity, precision and

robot coordinate system. Sample programming and simulation.

MECHA 8D Advanced Programmable Logic Controller

This course deals with the advanced concepts in creating controlled sequence

using programmable logic controllers.



MECHA 9D Process Visualization and Monitoring

The course introduces the students to the InTouch visualization software and its

practical application. InTouch is an interactive system for visualizing, monitoring and

controlling industrial processes on computers. The software will allow students to have

an equivalent visualization of an existing industrial machine through their computers at

the same time monitor its behavior and conduct possible correction and determine on

the spot troubles.








MECHA 10D Modular Production System

This course deals with the concepts on how production systems are being

automated using mechatronics devices and advanced programmable logic control. It

discusses the step by step manner of designing a system and how to assemble them

based on the system requirement



MECHA 11D Mechatronics System Design

This course deals with the integrated and optimal design of a physical system,

including sensors, actuators, electronic components and the embedded digital control

system.

MECHACIS 1D CISCO 1 2 2 3

This course deals with the study of network fundamentals which include data

networks and Internet, devices, protocol and services, addressing and naming schemes

at various layers of data networks, transport and network layer protocols and services,

subnet masks, OSI data link layer, physical layer protocols and services, Ethernet

network using routers and switches, and CISCO CLI commands.

Prerequisite: 4th year standing

This course is designed to provide an overview of the field of psychology and

human behavior. Topics include philosophical perspectives, history, learning

personality, behavioral biology development, motivation, emotion, abnormal behavior,

theories and therapies.

MECHA 12D Industrial Attachment 0 6 6

Students are placed in industry for practical training and application of skills

learned. A total of 120 hours is required for this On- the- Job training.



MECHA 13 Major Elective 1 3 0 3

This major elective 1 has the following options which include AC and DC motors,

advanced logic circuits, microcontrollers or fluid mechanics.








MECHACIS 2D CISCO 2 2 2 3

This course deals with the study of the routing protocols and concepts which

include operations of a router and routing table, configuring static routes, distance

vector routing protocols, Routing Information Protocol (RIP), RIPv1 protocol, classful

and classless IP addressing and routing behaviors, classless IP addressing scheme,

RIPv1 configuration skills, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), link-

state routing protocols and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol.
