Weantinoge protects over three hundred acres in the CobbleBrook Valley. The trail offers instant gratification as well as alonger exercise up the steep wild flanks that rise above CobbleBrook. The trail passes through a beautiful wildflower meadowalong the Brook before heading up into the forest. Hikers can optfor a shorter loop using the blue trail or continue the ascent alongthe yellow and orange trails. Those reaching the ridgeline will berewarded with a perch in the mountain laurel with views to thewest across the Housatonic River.
The recommended route, once reaching theloop junction, is clockwise as it is safer toclimb the steeper route and descend thegentler way.
