This class of pa-tients had been allowed a good deal ofliberty, and the bathing tank being onlvthree feet deep, lias not been consideredperilous to any without suicidal ten-dencies. However,, after the fatality inquestion, the Coroner found that it hadojierated as a salutary warning to theSuperintendent and all his subordinates,who had already instituted measures ofincreased vigilance which were likely tobe made permanent.
